Definitely i expect to see one huge patch in the coming weeks.

bixxel3982d ago

Maybe even larger than the game itself.

UltraNova3981d ago

Yes they will release a huge patch that will probably replace most of the games code.

I wonder if they'll recall the discs as well..They are basically unplayable dvds.

ThichQuangDuck3983d ago

Maybe they will give you guys a free costume hahhahaha

xTheMercenary_3983d ago

LOL, f*** the costumes this game needs fixing asap on PC.

C L O U D3983d ago (Edited 3983d ago )

Spenok3982d ago

Apparently your entitlement isn't big enough.

Fixes don't happen overnight. They're working on it, give them time. They have said they are taking the issue very seriously, and have promised substantial fixes. You playing the entitled gamer doesn't help.

slate913982d ago

Playing the entitled gamer after once again having a $60 product released in an unacceptable form. Give me a break man.

annus3982d ago

Spenok, are you not familiar with damage control? Of course they are saying they are sorry, everyone was getting refunds and slamming the game, telling others not to buy it. How did the game even get through QA in such a broken state?

You sure as shit should feel entitlement if you pay $60; if you purchase something you should expect it to work correctly (of which there are many laws around the world that support the consumer on this).

Perjoss3983d ago

There was a 1 gig patch before this one.

Zero1093983d ago

Yeah the full size of the game is about 30 something gbs when the console is almost 50 (above after the patch). So there must be a lot missing and I expect there to be big patches in the coming wks.

TheEnigma3133983d ago

Am i the only one who hasn't had any problems with this game on pc?

hduce3983d ago

I don't have any problems on PC either with the exception of the 30fps cap which was an easy fix.

Lamboomington3983d ago (Edited 3983d ago )

Well, you're lucky.

Even then, that's not entirely true. The PC version is actually missing grahpical features. This patch fixes a couple of those, the most important ones imo.

Now they still need to add in the missing high res textures.

sourav933983d ago

Those of you who aren't having any problems on PC, good on you. You're one of the lucky few. Enjoy the game. But there are many of us who aren't having the best of experiences with the game, even so with high end hardware.

My point is, just because 'you' aren't having any problems, doesn't mean there aren't any.

TheEnigma3133983d ago

Well neither one of us said that the problems didn't exist; we just said we weren't experiencing any issues.

Khajiit863982d ago

Point out where they said there is no problems... calm yourself

JamesBroski3983d ago

I'm curious, what's your setup?

hduce3983d ago

Core i7 5930k (no over clock)
16GB DDR4
GTX 980 ti sli
Samsung Evo 850 SSD

VanguardOfCalamity3983d ago

I've just completed my first playthrough

i7-2600k @3.4
16GB RAM
GTX 770 4GB edition

Have all settings on high, disable 30 fps, fog, nvidia smoke/debris off.. light/rain on.. 60fps most of the time

OhMyGandhi3982d ago (Edited 3982d ago )

Core i7 2600K at 3.4
16GB DDR4
GTX 980
Samsung Evo 850 SSD

no problems so far, did upgrade my GPU as it was getting rather long in the tooth, an aging HD 6870.

Check my comment history, and you'll see the crazy problems I was having with this game, and now, since I literally just bought a 980, the game is running silky smooth.

Interestingly enough, my 6870 ran every game under the sun, Including Witcher 3, Crysis 3, and Skyrim with Too Damn Many Mods To Count perfectly fine, it was only this game that my 6870 was like "I WON'T DO IT!"

brich2333982d ago

What graphics card are you guys using?

hduce3982d ago

A single GTX 980ti. I have sli disabled for this game because of all the problems others were having. I also have a GTX 650 running as a physx card which I think is helping a lot. I am running the game at 2560 x 1440p. With everything maxed out I get mostly 60fps with a few dips here and there but nothing that is unplayable.

Mustang300C20123982d ago

I have a 2600k overclocked to 4.4
EVGA GTX 980Ti(just got it on Friday from the step-up upgrade from an EVGA GTX 980 superclocked)
4k 65in Vizio running at 3840 x 2160

Can't wait for the fix update.

I got my new EVGA X99 FTW motherboard and Cosair 2666mhz 16GB sticks. 5930k intel chip coming in on Monday so will be water cooling. Can't wait.

SniperControl3982d ago

Have you guys got the all of the Nvid effects to work?

Eg, rain flowing down the side of batmans mask for one, i did have both PC and PS4(PC version has been refunded) and i did a side by side comparison, the rain is missing from the PC version.

Mustang300C20123982d ago

Yes I have see post above of specs.

Mustang300C20123982d ago (Edited 3982d ago )

No it isn't I see it for mine.

This is my setup currently until I build my new one on Monday.

Wow. What an incredibly unhelpful patch. It fixes a crash when you're already turning off the game, a bug which turned off 2 small graphical features, Steam redownloading the game when verifying, and a crash if you messed with the ini files to turn off motion blur. Glad to see they have their priorities in order...

starchild3983d ago

Well, I think some of those are pretty big issues, to be honest. The missing rain effects and missing ambient occlusion are fairly significant issues and I'm glad they are fixing them.

But I agree that the frame latency spikes, hitches and general framerate performance should be the main priority.

Nunchez3982d ago

This is a pretty decent patch I'm sure there'll be bigger patches in the future. But with the addition of AO and the rain effects, the PC version is almost on par with the PS4 version. Also the re-downloading the game when verifying happened to me, I'm glad they fixed that.

Seafort3982d ago

This was more of a hotfix.

They've said they'll be patching the game for the next few months to bring the game up to the standards they want from a PC game.

I bet they wished they'd not pawned off the PC version onto a 3rd party now as this is going to cost them more than it saved outsourcing it.

Kingdomcome2473982d ago

Too true. Shortcuts almost always lead to more work and headaches in the long run.

I would also add Risk of Rain 2 as long as you don't stray too far from a power source as each run can be long as the hours melt away. Another thing to note is that based on the reports, the FPS may drop into the 40s if a lot of enemies are on the screen.

There is also the Half Life series. If you haven't played half-life before then you can do so now at the super low price.

cthulhucultist537d ago

Mafia was amazing looking and had a great story. Played flawlessly at 30fps as well without dips 99% of the time.

The same is true for Jedi Fallen Order

Sony games as also on sale. Picked up Rachet and Clank, cant wait to try it!
