Comic book superheroes are all the rave now and Batman is considered amongst the biggest ones out there. He was immortalized in Christopher Nolan’s ridiculously popular Dark Knight Trilogy and the big screen looks to bring him back with Ben Affleck under the cowl. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill were placed front and center during the airing of Batman: The Animated series. There are usually at least three big Batman comics in publication and these are just his solo adventures, as now he is seen as one of the de facto leaders of the newly revived Justice League. Even when examining the gaming market, he has several franchises, such as the Lego Batman games and Batman: Arkham series, where he is placed front and center both in terms of marketing and narrative structure. It’s a good thing, then, that a lot of the aforementioned titles are good pieces of entertainment at their worst.
