this freaking matters to me! I supported the ps3 since launch, been waiting long enough....

when you announce things, consumers expect it to come out NOW!!!

i think we all know what this means. time to packing it in boys i dont think we gonna see it this year(open beta). but what i dont understand is the guys at sony are always saying we dont wanna rush things. i understand that but for how long can you keep pushing it back a year maybe 2. guys who say they would rather wait for it to be fully functional please i ask you would you honestly be happy if sony said you had to wait another year or 2 to get home. i await your replies.

As time goes by the interest in it is dwindling. I love the Ps3 and Ive just sorta forgotten about HOME. Release it when you can I guess. Just better hope consumers are still interested otherwise it will have been a huge waste of time.

Maybe they should borrow some people from Microsoft so they can get the work done.

Hey Thor they also said the Open Beta was going to come out last year & the year & the year before that Phil Harrison promised at E3 an Open Beta in that year. They already ****** up two or three (possibly more) Open Beta release dates for Home & they will **** up another one again. The Home Open Beta will launch with the Playstation 4 at this rate

Take your time Sony, this is just another FREE service you are giving me. I didnt buy my PS3 for home, I bought it for the great games and blu ray home is just another bonus.

It seems Insomniac are the only group in the Sony camp that understand deadlines. Ah well..I think only me missuz will reap any enjoyment out of Home.

This is getting rediculous. At least when MS do something like tyhis you can feel confident they will deliver. I bet they could release a date now and thats when it would arrive.

I don't even know what to write anymore... Let's just forget about it. Home? What's that?

If Sony has never announced HOME until say 6 months before it was a concrete release then people would have been hyped for it and had something to look forward to.

Saying that HOME is going to be free and doesnt really matter when its going to be released is kinda missing the point.

PS3 owners see HOME as a way to combat the 360's newly announced intergrated party system and thus if HOME doesnt get released soon they are going to be left behind even more so.

HOME does have nice potential but Sony should cut out the BS refuse to give anymore details about it and then hit us with it when its ready for release - this way they dont get cut down for making empty promises (anymore) and the consumers cant hold them to any release date.

I believe now's the time to simply say F*CK YOU TOO.

Something tells me that we wont see the final release for a LONG time.

Maybe sony should stop dragging the ps2 behind them and cut it off, use that focus more on whats to come.. Home was going to Launch a year ago not beta Launch, now it's only come to beta, come on. I'm wondering if this app will ever launch on the ps3 maybe just beta until PS4.. MS is coming out with a whole new dashboard.. at E3 it looks like sony is focused more on ps2 and psp more then anything

its not that home is delayed, its not that they have not given a date or even a year to expect it- no. Its the fact that they say " it does not matter "

I think the biggest issue Sony is facing is getting sponsors for home, cuz if not plan b would be to charge, and if that happens HOME will be a failed project IMO because most ps3 owners are used to not paying. I mean Qore was ragged for having a price tag by gamers I know and it's only 3 bucks per episode. I got buddies who have games like Cod4 with no DLC cuz they don't wanna pay. A lot of ps3 owners have gotten spoiled by the term "Free" and I think this is the biggest hurdle Sony has to overcome if they do have to end up charging for HOME if micro transactions aren't enough.

So true. Kind of like xbox 360, it came out wayyyy to early so it was really broken, I don't want that with Home.

As long as the games come out, I'll be happy with that.

Big words saying that 360's Live wont be able to compete especially since they have been whooping Sony's Arse the past 5 years in this space.

I am patiently waiting for the beta release. Kaz your arrogant arse better be right or you will need a new spam filter for all the heckling I alone will bring to you if this online service that Live can't compete with isn't the monster you say it is.

It will most likely be clunky and slow just like 2.40/2.41 in which you have the in game xmb and can't use it for anything other then sending a friend a txt message. 2.41 is a pile of garbage. I was so excited for it and since it has dropped have gone back to my 360. metal gear solid 4 is out I've beat it and really don't see myself buying another ps3 game for months

maybe by 2010 there will be more then 10 games with trophy support

When I bought my Ps3, I know it HAD an inferior line-up to the 360 at the time. I know Sony will deliver at their own time.

I'm in no rush for Home. When it comes out, I want it to good. I didn't pay $400 to have unfinished services and products.

yeah it sucks that its taking a long time to get home out but be patient...besides we're gonna be swamped with games this fall so we can keep busy with that...i dont think any of you are gonna be getting rid of your ps3 anytime soon am i right? you invested in a 10 year product just be happy knowing that you're able to not only play some of the hottest exclusive titles but also play online for free not to mention that home is free! so keep busy with the games you have now and before you know it that little icon for home will pop up in the playstation store and then we can alllll download it and then b*tch about something else

Its kinda good I have never been really crazy for Home. I mean I thought it would probably be pretty good and all, but I wasnt really really hyped for it. But this sucks for everyone who really wanted it. Granted it will be improved, but they could at least say nothing about when it supposedly comes out until they actually know when its coming out.

Well at least we have in game messaging right now that helps out alot.

you know there are always going to be people who are dissatisfied... they moan that there is no news about a upcoming game and then they moan when information is released because there is no release date, then they moan about it being delayed. just before it's released they start moaning about there is no news about upcoming games so that once the original game IS released, they are already looking past that for something to moan about... and round and round it goes. get a grip people, enjoy what we have, but don't let your hunger for something unannounced or incomplete dissuade you from enjoying what is already there.
