subpar visuals and 30fps on PC?! that's the dumbest thing I've heard after E3, congratulations Bethesda on this trophy.

I understand this debate is quite frequent among console users, and 1080p at 30 fps is very good for those platforms, but pretty much all PC games run at 60fps, Skyrim included.

30fps when using a mouse is simply not good enough - it's hard to explain to someone who doesn't use one for gaming, but it is not good enough for PC and it is very, very noticeable (unlike with a joystick, where you move your view gradually, with a mouse, you swing around very quickly, and the fps is very visible).

So if Todd Howard is indeed speaking for the PC also, then Bethesda is going to come under heavy criticism from users of that platform, and for good reason.

Please don't think that what is OK for X is OK for Y. Consoles are great, but they have different requirements to PCs.

i agree with that,that they have to do it best for every platform.
but what i saw,it is not going to happen.animations are outdated,people,clothes outdated,graphics mostly with law res.not good at all.this is 2015,not 2010.

If you have both consoles and not a PC the choice now is definitely Xbox One for the mod support. Thats a game changer tbh, especially since no graphical or FPS difference.

Bethesda did the same thing to Wolfenstein New Order parity using the lower hardware system has principal development platform .They are not using the strenghts of every individual hardware.

Glad I have a good PC. And get to play the game at its best and don't have to compromise on visuals and performance.

I will never ever be a fan of their ugly, bug-riddled "creation" engine. But damn, those games are just too awesome to pass on.

I won't get my hopes up for mods on the PS4. For one how would it be possible when we can't resign edit saves like we could on the PS3 version of Fallout 3. Sony doesn't want people modding games. I doubt they will make an exception just because MS is doing it. They didn't budge their stance when MS announced BC but then again we all know the real reason Sony doesn't want to give us BC it is because of Playstation Now.

Pc games are never locked at 30fps. There is always a way around that.

So this is just Bethesda using the XB1 as the lead and porting around but a game of this caliber can be overlooked as Fallout tends to offer a huge adventure.

BUT THEN AGAIN the Witcher 3 with the new graphics mod is sick. Bethesda needs to step up their game.

I am actually impressed with Fallout 4 because they actually announced the game the same year it launches. Other companies need to follow suit. 1080p@30 fps is pathetic for PC though.

Xbox One is the deal with the inclusion of Fallout 3 as a nice throw in imo. but really it won't matter whatever platform you play on as I'm sure it's going to be fantastic for all.

After seeing how spectacular the modding community made Skyrim, I'm going to be waiting for a while to grab the PC version of this game.

From what I've seen of this game, it looks great and I can't wait to play it. It'll be the first time in a long time that I've taken an entire week off of work for a video game. Though with Just Cause 3 and Xenoblade Chronicles X coming out so soon after this game, I might take several four and five day weekends instead of a solid week. It doesn't matter; I've got plenty of vacation time and a few months to figure out how to use it.

If they mean 30 frames locked on the PC then that is just ridiculous and majority of PC that were bad consoles ports. If they mean the targeted performance for high-end video cards then Fallout 4 better set some graphical standards if that was the case.

Of course it does, it's a Bethesda game, they're tiny and the textures aren't exectly the highest of quality...

It's the game itself that is great, not the graphics.

Why are game announcements lately ordered as Xbox One AND PS4, instead of PS4 and Xbox One. Seems PS4s dominance isn't being respected here. Last gen it was always 360 ahead of PS3.

Pc will not be locked at 30fps unless they hard code it. Which i dont see happening. And with DSR we will be able to play at 1440p or 4k if ur computer can handle it.

Bring back freedom with magic (even if exploitable it's fun). Bring back utterly bizarre and memorable characters (starfield felt like theirs were designed by a committee of wet blankets). Bring back actual consequential player choice ie different classes and guilds/houses/etc that can't all be done in the one playthrough. And update or replace that damn engine for more seamless streaming/traversal so dungeons, towns and buildings aren't segmented separate levels. And for the love of god don't dare do that shitty dialog wheel and voiced player again

Starfield could have become an (Xbox) megaseller and critically acclaimed milestone in the Sci-Fi genre.

I would have never let them work with CreationEngine 2 for that, but scrapped it completely.
