They are, but Miamoto is still at the helm for the core design choices. It seems to be turning out as a match made in heaven.

Star Fox looks exactly how I always imagined it would look if they ever decided to return to the series following the beloved design of StarFox 64.

The graphics are par for the course, same as any other game on the system. People are just parroting what they hear others say. There is nothing wrong with the graphics. It looks identical to the sections in Bayonetta 2, and nobody was throwing a hissy fit about that.

And those "intrusive, gimmicky controls" are a simple combination of analog and gyro, which as we've seen with Splatoon, is FAR superior to the dated control schemes that we see everywhere else. Especially for this type of game. It's like comparing the precision of a computer mouse to analog. Gyro/analog combo wins in both ease of use and precision every time. There's nothing intrusive or gimmicky about that. Only stubborn gamers who refuse to open their minds to anything other than how they've done things for the last 20 years, the same archaic way they were doing it back in 1989.

Maybe it's time to quit parroting what you hear everyone else on the Internet say and come up with some ideas of your own. If you actually watch the footage in 720P YouTube videos, you'll discover that the textures are actually rather impressive! In the background look amazing with the planets and everything. Not saying the game should win any awards in the graphics department but by God it certainly isn't "severely outdated"!

And all you whiners were flipping your sh** about Nintendo releasing all these games that didn't use the gamepad. Now they use it in a very meaningful way that actually ADDS to the gameplay, and you want to complain that the gamepad is being used.

uh because it started as a Wii game. Much like Pikmin 3 the final product will look much better.

Man, click on the article please and scroll down. The game does not look bad at all....get your eyes checked...Nintendo is hit or miss with trailers. Most times the games look 10 times better than their trailers. They rarely pre-render and simply don't spend too much time on trailers...

The footage live from the nintendo treehouse looks alot better but with a holiday release date the visuals are not going get that much better. They will probably spend more time actually designing levels and getting the game to run at 60. It defintely is a let down, star fox should look as good as 3D world. In a perfect world it would rival the new ratchet and clank in terms of visuals. Even so the star fox team is back so I really can't complain.
