Who cares about their E3 show anyway? Answer me this: When was the last time Nintendo had a great E3 showing? 2004?

With Nintendo, it's all about the games. They really couldn't care less about wowing us at E3 because they're too busy making awesome games like Zelda, Xenoblade and Star Fox.

And to be honest, that's all I care about: Great games. IMO, Sony and M$ could learn some lessons from Nintendo.

I hope her next game has a complicated (but good) story telling with Prime gameplay. Also maybe a well thought out multiplayer.

It is not some kind of evolution that it is less common now. It's a combination of people from other countries, e.g. the Vikings, coming to the UK and also culturally unspoken discrimination by some women against some men with red hair, as well as spoken discrimination in school age sometimes. Whilst it is a recessive gene that results in red hair, that does't mean that it's an undesirable trait except in the eye of some beholders. Blond is also a recessive gene compared to brunette and any eye colour is recessive compared to brown eyes.

I want the term 'redheaded stepchild' to seem as unacceptable as derogatively saying 'little negro illegitimates'. Because the terms are practically equivalents in the offence that they can cause.

Nintendo obviously has a lot of IP, but it isn't going to release every single one of them on either of its platforms in console generation. It's quite frankly, impossible to please fans and Reggie is right about one thing, fans are insatiable; They'll ask for this or that IP and even when the get it, they'll ask for another. It's like this on any platform, including Sony and Microsoft's. PS3 fans asked for Last Guardian, but guess what, it's now become a PS4 game and it won't be out until some time in 2016. That doesn't exactly sit well with gamers that had hoped to see it on PS3. Microsoft fans have been asking Rare to move away from Kinect for years and only now have they begun to do it, but a lot of fans have been asking for a classic Rare game, like a 3D Banjo and Kazooie, bu t that's not what Rare has made and shown off at E3 this year, it's an original IP of a different genre instead. We don't always get what we want, but some times, publishers make something different that we didn't know we would want until we give it a chance.

What's this nonsense about a true 3D Mario game? Mario 3D World is a 3D Mario game. Get over it. A Pokemon MMO? You do realize Nintendo's EAD teams doesn't even make the mainline Pokemon games, right? GameFreak does and Nintendo doesn't own Game Freak. Nintendo doesn't even fully own the Pokemon IP. I'm also of the opinion that a Pokemon MMO would more likely sound better on paper than in execution. I'll give you that a Pokemon Snap could have happened especially given the capabilities of both the 3DS 3D effect and Wii U Gamepad's gyroscope and second screen. Real Metroid and Metroid Prime doesn't always come out. Nintendo thinks of other opportunities and other IP to do. This time, on 3DS, it decided to go with a Metroid Prime spin-off. Fans don't like what they saw of it at E3, but we won't know if the game is any good until it comes out. Retro will likely return to Metroid Prime, maybe at least for one more installment in the future, but clearly it sounds like it won't be on Wii U which begs the question, what is Retro's new project that they have been reportedly working on since late 2013? Hopefully,' we'll find out by E3 2013.

Nintendo is not likely going to ever make a new Earthbound game, but they have localized the VC titles in the series. In fact, they announced one earlier this month. Nintendo doesn' really need a new Super Mario RPG when it has the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi RPGs already. F-Zero is a niche IP, no one cared about it when it came out on GameCube. It hasn't been seen since, but like with Pikmin, Star Fox, DK Country, Golden Sun, Punch Out and Luigi's Mansion, it could make an inevitable comeback. Quite frankly, I always felt Animal Crossing is much better suited for the handheld than on the home console. With that said, I'm disappointed, as many others are,with this Animal Crossing spin-off board game.

I do agree with you that Nintendo has to do a better job. The company's attempt at hardware differentiation has ultimately lead to the alienation of many avid gamers and third party support and it will likely remain that way. Something is wrong when Nintendo is trying to do everything on its own. Third parties are the backbone of the industry, after all. Nintendo has a lot of obstacles in its way if it ever hopes to attract more gamers and third parties to it.

Over several years I have noticed people ask for a Pokemon MMO. I really do not think Nintendo knows how to make an MMO, and I see a lot of unwillingness out of them to bring in fresh talent. For example, on a number of occasions since Wii U, we have read that HD games are difficult to make, from Miyamoto and from a producer even at this year's e3 (I can't remember the game, maybe Star Fox, maybe Fatal Frame). Look, though, at the talent swelling from developers who embraced HD...look at the new Fallout, UC4, SW Battlefront, even current games like Bloodborne and Project Cars, well, they look amazing, and looking back at Uncharted 2 & 3 it is obvious that its not just the hardware, its the desire and drive to push, to move forward technically that other studios seem to have, that Nintendo is missing.
They said "Zelda fans don't care about graphics." Yes I do, Nintendo.
Miyamoto, Anouma, and perhaps Iwata are all genius game designers, but they need to hire fresh, talented graphic artists who aren't afraid of technology and who do not see HD as "hard," but instead as the norm.
Just look at Arkham Knight. It looks absolutely sick for a Batman game. Nintendo's focus on "innovation" led them to an (another) underpowered system with an unnecessary gimmick, when all we want are fabulous Nintendo games (we really didn't buy the Wii U so we could aim with a gyro, Miyamoto) and the ability to play 3rd party games at an equal level (features, online, graphics) as our friends with other consoles.
Make the hardware at least a level playing field, hire some young talent, and let us play Black Ops, Fallout, Witcher, Dark Souls, etc. on any console we want, including yours and with equal or better technical abilities, and dazzle us with Nintendo talent for Zelda, Mario, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Metroid and Pokemon, to draw us to your NXt console.
Oh, BTW, Super Mario 3D World is not a proper 3D Mario (SM64, Sunshine, Galaxy, and ____ ).

in a way, at the time the wii u, was ment to bring back the hardcore. not sold 10m yet.
so the wii. casual, low spec, gimmick at the time. sold a shed load..

tbh this is the first I'm hearing that people didn't like it. YouTubers were swearing by the game like they do every nintendo release when it dropped. But I do remember my main reason for skipping was the dumb controls.

Biggest disappointment from Platinum games IMO

If they do a re-release with normal controls it would sell and be beloved. Motion controls have a place but most of the time they are just not there yet.

Give me Wii Bowling for the switch already!
