Fallout 4 on Xbox One Will Include Fallout 3

During today's Microsoft E3 conference, Bethesda's Todd Howard took the stage to share an extended Fallout 4 demo. Along the bottom of the screen, some text quickly popped up, confirming that Fallout 3 will be included with Fallout 4 on Xbox One.

Sucks PS4 doesn't get it. I guess Microsoft announcing backwards compatibility means it'll just be the Xbox 360 version. I have the GotY Edition so no need.

jackanderson19853973d ago

yeah definitely just gonna be the 360 version... wonder if New Vegas will be BC, was looking to play that game again but with BC i'll just whack it in the X1

PS3 version of Bioshock Infinite came with of the original on disc. I guess MS could not get DLC exclusively. Awesome for any Xbone player who missed out of 3.

PS4 still gets mods, and the phone game and app are on both iOS and Android so I am happy.

cell9893973d ago

would of been awesome if theyd announced it was a remastered version :/

Perjoss3973d ago

Only if it was handled by another team externally, nobody wants Bethesda working on old stuff, let them do what they do best.

migrateddoor3973d ago

Ya hope so... Hope Sony gets the mods support also that's a HUGE BREAKER IF MIT

Becuzisaid3973d ago

Not really. Mods will be made to upgrade the games modest graphics, which probably won't work as well on the xbox one.

Dasteru3973d ago

You won't get much in the way of graphical mods. It will mostly just be gameplay additions.

ninsigma3973d ago

Doubt it would be a deal breaker. Most people who want mods would already be playing on PC, so I imagine there would be a small number actually REALLY excited about this. Good thing about it is that it opens mods up to a whole new market.

I can see Sony getting this too though, because they never said it was only for xbox. Just gotta wait and see.

Pogmathoin3973d ago

Maybe so, but being able to prolong the life of a game long after DLC has dried up will be a big thing.

Sure Sony will get something, but we have to hear people cry about it. I still got my copy of Fallout , so I'll passon getting another.

Would be nice if they had New Vegas ready as well, especially because of the show.

Hopefully this doesn't have the same performance issues as Oblivion Remastered.

cloganart112d ago

I haven't seen anything on these performance issues? What's been going on?

walken7111d ago

Probably the Unreal Engine issues, I skipped it for that reason.

Snookies12112d ago (Edited 112d ago )

Throw in all the DLC as well, like Oblivion and I'll definitely bite. I recall having one trophy left to unlock on the PS3 version with 100+ hours in my save. When my save file got corrupted, lol. Very sad day.

To be fair though, Bethesda was trash at Playstation ports anyway.

Michiel1989112d ago

all devs sucked at porting to ps3 for the first like 3 years because no one had experience with the cell architecture. Even 1st party took a long while to get proficient with it, the difference between uncharted 1 and 3 is massive for example.

Extermin8or3_112d ago

Oh oh oh I can do this too. GTA 7 will be made at some point in the future. Fallout 5 will enter development in the future too

jznrpg112d ago

Everyone there should know most gamers want New Vegas and Morrowind more than anything.

Christopher112d ago

Which is why we won't get them. Gotta keep floating "support this one and it might happen".

BlaqMagiq1112d ago

Can't wait. Won't have to go back to my PS3 to play this when it comes out.
