I expect some megatons. My senses are tingling.

1) TLG- I know I know, but I believe!
2) GT7- Its time now to unveil it and I reckon it will be shown
3) Media Molecule's new game
4) God of War- we know this is happening
5) Ratchet- more falafel gameplay
6) Uncharted 4 gameplay
7) Morpheus- about 15 minutes minimum spent on showcasing this
8) Indie falafel
9) No Mans Sky gameplay and release date
10) Shenmue exclusive? Please!
11) Horizon
12) Destiny DLC
13) SFV

And more falafel but these are the bigger announcements I expect

nucky644008d ago

I don't see any "megatons" on your list.

how about:
syhphon filter
jak 4
new crash bandicoot]
GG next game
and while very unlikely - demon souls 2 would cause a big stir.

Gazondaily4008d ago

"I don't see any "megatons" on your list."

Yet you list Horizon which is "GG next game" on your list.

Syphon Filter and Jak 4 are the more unlikely candidates. Demon Souls 2 isnt that unlikely tbh

Sevir4008d ago

What's likely

first party:

Updates- Tearaway, Rime, Until Dawn, Shadow of the Beast, EGTRapture, GoW:R, U:NDC, Ratchet and Clank, Drawn to Death, Fat Princess adventures.

Uncharted 4 - Demo/Release Date info
TLG- Megaton
GT7 - Megaton
GG's Horizon - their Twitter page just got created yesterday (coincidence?) and they have started tweeting, and Herman Hulst is confirmed at E3 this year
Level-5 RPG
Quantic Dreams New IP
Sony Bend New IP

Third Party:

Star Wars Battlefront demo
COD:BO3 demo
Dark Souls 3 Demo
Assassin's Creed: Syndicate
Destiny DLC
Batman:AK
SF5 Footage and Beta date announcement

Tones of indie news
Morpheus news
And then they'll close the show with something big.

Barricade4008d ago

if TLG drops, it'd be a megaton. God of War has become one of Sony's iconic franchises, so a next installment would be a megaton. GT actually IS Sony's best selling franchise, so that'd be a huge megaton... That entire list pretty much consists of megaton announcements.

I'm hoping for some news about Agent, or anyone else who wants a new Red Dead? A man can dream..

Gority4008d ago

Syphon Filter is not a megaton, sorry nucky64. Sure it's a good franchise, but megaton by no means.

Hopefully they announce GT7 with a Logi G29 collaboration and Morpheus integration.
Also looking forward to some UC4 and UC:NDC gameplay.

It's gonna be a epic E3 for Sony.

I'm predicting that we will see a mind blowing Morpheus game.

:)

P.S I don't think Sony will introduce a virtual threatre to the device to be honest.

S2Killinit4008d ago (Edited 4008d ago )

I expect the same.

What is a virtual theatre?

SniperControl4008d ago

"I don't think Sony will introduce a virtual theatre to the device to be honest"

I hope they do, but not in the way MS are doing it, a virtual theatre for watching movies, just chuck in a blu-ray and watch it on the Morpheus.

There are a number of virtual theatres on the Rift, i use MaxVR on my rift to watch movies on.

Sevir4008d ago

This write up is hilarious.

Letthewookiewin4008d ago

Sony has announced 4 or 5 things with release dates in the past 2 weeks and it's not even E3 yet. To me MS has a lackluster line up. Halo 5, cool but big deal, Forza, no one cares and sales say so. Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive. Sony has a exclusive release almost every month. Stupid article.

S2Killinit4008d ago

Yup. This is the PR push before the holidays. It happens every year if you notice. Looking at the list of games on the two consoles, its Ms that has a 'kackluster' exclusive line up. But every time MS has a couple of big titles coming up in the holiday season, its the same story all over again with the "lackluster Sony line up".

showtimefolks4008d ago

Uncharted 4 demo
god of war 4 teaser
Gt7
dark souls 3
destiny expansion news
Project morpheus
street right 5
mgs5 demo
no man sku, rime and until dawn
horizon guerrilla games new IP

Maybe list

Ratchet and clank trailer but since that game isn't due till 2016 maybe they will shoe something at playstation event

Sony bends new game maybe resistance reboot maybe the rumored horror game

The last guardian. I believe this is the year. But many of us have been saying that for few years now

Megatons:

Agent from R*

shamnue ip bought

Crash ip bought back

Marketing deals

I believe Sony will get the exclusive marketing for these ganes along with some games offering 30 days of exclusive dlc

Call of duty yes I believe the rumors are true

Fallout 4, yes ps4 has a huge install base and bethesda are smart. They would want to market with the bigger install base

Star wars confirmed
batman confirmed

Mgs5 I think is also with ps4

These marketing deals could end up paying huge, look at how destiny was advertised.

And FYI the advertisement firm that was with xbox last gen now is with ps4

I expect one huge 3rd party exclusive

Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses

andy8535d ago

Lets be honest raising prices doesn't do that when no one's buying it. I imagine the profit it greater selling 10 times more at a lower price

Pergele35d ago

Whatever you say buddy, let's all wear the tinfoil hats.

IceKoldKilla35d ago (Edited 35d ago )

LMFAO Your comment alone says a lot more about you than anything else. When has one game not selling 10 million copies made a company raise the prices of their console? Then Xbox would be costing $5000 by now lol. You remind of the crazy drug addicts on the street rambling on about conspiracies. xD You sure you don't need a hug, buddy?

ChunkyMonk35d ago

One game that Sony payed $200 million for. lol
Also, you sure were quick to get triggered. Maybe your the one who needs a hug?

Eonjay35d ago

If nothing else, we should be united against the real issue here. AI and unnecessary tariffs that are effecting all gamers.

Athlon10135d ago (Edited 35d ago )

The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

S2Killinit35d ago

Its not the war. Its the RAM issue.

jznrpg34d ago

War is causing gas prices to rise. Transport of everything requires gas so the prices of those items go up as well. So it does have an impact

Athlon10134d ago (Edited 34d ago )

The blockage of the Straight of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war has affected raw components used in semi-conductor manufacturing such as bromine, aluminum, and helium. Iran had attacked the liquified natural gas (LNG) plant in Qatar which is a large producer (1/3 globally) of helium which is used in semiconductor etching. So it's the both the war and the RAM crises.

badz14935d ago

Oh no...should I get the Pro now before the price increase?

I dont think that'll ever happen. But i must say back in the day, they were definitely trying because they were more cash rich than their competitors.

CosmicTurtle48d ago

I think MS were and still are the richer company. They tried to acquire Sega back in the day (and considered doing so again more recently), they obviously bought exclusivity to Halo which was originally shown as a Mac title. I don’t think as a company MS can claim the moral high ground here. It’s a wilful lack of self awareness.

Of course Sony would try exactly the same if they had the resources, but when the PS2 dominated the industry was in a much healthier place with an abundance of great third parties.

This has been a depressing generation as far as first party decisions are concerned. The fact we are debating business plans rather than which game is better is a sad reflection of the state of things.

Darkseeker48d ago (Edited 48d ago )

There was Nintendo as well, Sony wouldn't have had a monopoly. In fact, the world would be better today if Xbox never existed in the first place. They pretty much brought all bad practices we have today. We might have gotten all of it either way, but not this early. In term of franchises, I don't think there is anything Microsoft released that would actually be missed if it didn't exist. Even Halo the world wouldn't notice if Halo didn't exist.

S2Killinit48d ago

MS was definitely a bad influence on gaming.

raWfodog48d ago

I think almost everyone will agree that a monopoly is not good for the industry. But that being said, the competition needs to be smart and strategic with their business. Simply buying up publishers and traditional third-party studios just to keep them out of the other companies reach is not a sustainable practice. That goes for all parties so don't think I'm just referring to Xbox.

I'm no business guru by any stretch of the imagination but I firmly believe that the best way to drive consumers to your software and hardware is to invest smart in your first-party studios. Give them full support and guidance in making unique, fun games that are only available to play in your ecosystem and the gamers will come.

Reaper22_48d ago (Edited 48d ago )

But first party studios aren't enough. They only make up a small portion of the industry. Without 3rd party there would be no industry for Microsoft or sony.Developing games take time and money and sometimes you gotta make moves to stay competitive.

raWfodog48d ago

Nah, I never said first-party was enough. I said it’s the ‘best way’ to drive gamers to your platform. 3rd-party is a free-for-all and there’s no guarantee that gamers will use your hardware to play the game. If you want to push your own software and/or hardware you need first-party, or at least exclusive deals with third-party studios.

SimpleDad48d ago

They Shure did a great job... 25 years later Xbox is dead.

Reaper22_48d ago

Then why be so emotional and continue to talk about it. Xbox will never die be ause it stays in so many people's head.

lodossrage48d ago

How can you even see him being "emotional" in that comment?

If anything, you're the emotional one, constantly trying to go at anyone that says anything against Microsoft. So when you call him emotional, it comes off as deflection

Elda48d ago

I own an XBSX & I can say it's becoming irrelevant out of the 3 current consoles.
