The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to draw large pay-per-view audiences, and the time is ripe for the franchise to make its return to videogames. We recently had the chance to check out a demonstration of THQ's UFC 2009: Undisputed at E3 2008, and haven't been this excited about a UFC title since the license debuted on the Sega Dreamcast.
Fans of the UFC will be most excited to learn that Undisputed will feature 80 different fighters, culled from the expansive UFC roster. You've got UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn, middleweights like champ Anderson "The Spider" Silva, welterweights like champion Georges St. Pierre, and light heavyweights like current champ Forrest Griffin and the man he defeated in a split decision, the incredibly entertaining Quinton "Rampage" Jackson."
Spiffy:
-Over 80 different fighters; deep grappling and ground games
Iffy:
-We haven't had the chance to try it out first-hand

MMA is one of the most intense and exciting sports to watch, but notoriously violent. For those not up to the intense dedication and training that learning MMA take, PS3 and Xbox offer a number of games which are the next best thing.

"Game development is a slow, sluggish process. But when a game is made, most of the time it’s made with love and care and a lot of effort. So it’s not nice to see good games go by almost unnoticed. I’ve decided to compile a list of the five best fairly recent underrated games that went unnoticed when released."
I did not/ do not understand why so many people liked blur i thought it was not very good as for the others i cant say anything. though i was hoping MAG would of been on the list was playing it last night nice to see there is still a community playing the game after so long and despite its lack of reception!
Blur was good. The point is it was hard, some people does not have the guts, patience or skill to keep up. It was a Bizarre game, you have to be skilled

THQ has lost one of its best franchises. Heres a look back at UFC Undisputed!
EA needs to be up in court on anti competitive charges, this being another in a long line of sh*t they pull. The worst though is the crap they pull with football, I mean making sure no one else can make a deal with the clubs is complete BS.
All I have to say is I called it & it is for the better, can't wait to play it !!!
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
MMA at its best is a might bit more complicated then boxing or the other general fighting games out there. Standup, takedowns (shoots and slams), ground and pound, submissions.... How do you go for an armbar? How do you sense an armbar is coming and defend it? Is your fighter a jack of all trades or a stand up guy or a wrestler or a JuiJitsu or a Sambo guy?
I dont know, I dont think they can pull it off. I suspect it will be like the wrestling games or any other typical fighter. BUT if they do pull it off, I will buy it in a heartbeat.
