UGO E3: Borderlands Impressions

UGO writes: "2K Games' revelation of a differently-abled PlayStation 3 BioShock was immediately followed by a demo of Borderlands. The game is an odd sort of FPS/RPG hybrid set against the backdrop of a Road Warrior-like setting. Oh, and it's got more than 650,000 weapons variations that can either kill you or kill for you.

Set in a completely open landscape, you can navigate the wastes alone or with up to three other players in co-op. The world is large enough to accommodate vehicles, which can be found and put to good use in shortening those distances. Players can even switch seats with one another while the vehicle is in motion, an action accompanied by a lightning fast animation."

ever since XIII came out I really loved the cell shaded artstyle in games. I probably wouldn't have tried it if it didn't have such a style like that

So the movie cost 155 million to produce and another 30 million dollars to promote . Borderlands movie brought in around 31 million worldwide . So basically, the Borderlands movie was a 154 million commercial for Borderlands video game franchise.
