Here’s how the exploit worked: kill some cows, collect their hides, meditate for an hour, and the cows quickly spawn back into the world. The hides were worth a pretty penny, so it didn’t take long to completely break The Witcher 3’s economy. Given that it otherwise takes dozens of hours to build up a decent amount of money in the game, it’s not a surprise CD Projekt RED would stamp this out.

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

The latest revenue report from CD Projekt Group shows Xbox only made up 10% of sales for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 in 2025.
Hey it’s ok. They are really impressed with XBOx’s new CEO so exclusivity is on the way. 😂
Ok but I mean be logical ... modern PC, Switch, PS4 PS5 then you have XBOX, of all of those XBOX is probably only 10 percent... I mean, what do you expect? 10 percent increase in sales is still nothing to sneeze at, remember - this is CD projekt red and they sell a lot of software. 10 percent of their sales is probably what most studios DREAM of selling .... just playing devils advocate..... its easy to say LOL haha XBOX.... but.. I mean we know what it is at this point. I havent bought on since my xbox one X and before that I only used other peoples xboxes since the OG XBOX and stick with PC and Playstation and switch OLED, but .. I mean.... theres nothing WRONG with an xbox considering its just not the best - but they work fine. make no mistake.
CD Projekt announced its financial results for 2025, while the company looks to its future by investing in The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, and "Hadar."
This would obviously tank the idea that you're in Witcher's world, but i would laugh if they had spawned a walking cow with a scythe instead.
Most people should know where that comes from. :P
It's cool and all, but I wish it didn't respawn infinitely.
Seems perfect to me, they just wanted to prevent an easy exploit from ruining the early game. Once you're powerful enough to take out the Chorts, being able to farm them isn't as unbalancing as it might seem.
Oh man, that's hilarious!
I haven't gotten my copy yet, but if this is a single player only game, why does it bother people how they got their money? If it was a MMO I can see why this would be added. But if you can't play online why would it hurt anyone, how you got the money? The only people I can see it hurting is the person playing it this way and even then it's their game, so they should be able to play how ever they want.
