PCGamingNoobs3998d ago

And here i was refreshing the countdown page...

jony_dols3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

Ditto...On a side note, a Bethesda game with a voiced protagonist should be interesting.

PCGamingNoobs3998d ago

im at my desk at work, so i haven't watched with sound.. i know, i know..

Sethry1013998d ago

"Let's go pal."

;)

I can't wait!!!! Hopefully we get to see gameplay at the E3 showing.

Perjoss3998d ago

what? a tear? dont be silly, have you never heard of hay fever?

Gazondaily3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

Wow so that was in-game footage. Looks pretty cool.

Have to watch it with no sound @ work -_-'

Letthewookiewin3998d ago

Ha I noticed that too. I hope this isn't to far out from release because the wait is going to be hell.

Silly Mammo3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

I was hoping we'd be playing as the dog this time around. :(

nveenio3998d ago

I was a bit disappointed with the fidelity. I thought it would be cross-gen for sure. Hopefully it's massive to help make up for it.

FATAL1TY3998d ago

Cartoony graphics, bad animations

Fallout 3.5: Rage edition

Gazondaily3998d ago

Yeah the visuals aren't all that amazing but still, the art style is decent and the game it self looks like it will be a heck of fun

Lamboomington3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

@PCGamingNoobs

Well, the sound was what made the trailer awesome for me. They played some tracks from Fallout 3. It's very Nostalgic, but also just awesome because the music is just really good.

4Sh0w3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

Great news, I've been waiting for another Fallout but yeah if I'm being honest the graphics do look dated. Fallout is about the violent combat and surreal world you're given to play around in though.

nX3998d ago

Even though it looks like it could run on last-gen hardware I'm still glad it's coming. Games like Fallout are not about graphics, I rather hope they make some substantial improvements in gameplay and scope.

AngelicIceDiamond3998d ago

Now THATS how teasers are made! Take notes AAA devs take plenty of freakin notes!

mcnast3998d ago

Better have realistic graphics that can get better than having amazing graphics that you know will get downgraded.

fr0sty3998d ago

The visuals wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the jerky animation.

remixx1163998d ago

@to everyone above complaining about the graphics

I've been gaming for a long time, I don't need mind blowing graphics for a game to be good, hell I still play orcarina of time and majoras mask every blue moon purely because of how fun they are.

I thought BioShock infinite was gorgeous, but to be honest I didn't think it was that fun.

"Sigh" but now if it doesn't look like the witcher 3 or drive club its disappointing, oh well I'll love it to death.....let's not turn into PC graphic elitists here.

Expectations, expectations never Chang's.

UltraNova3998d ago

Is it wrong to hope they purposefully showed us a worse version of the actual game they will release, being the first to actually surprise us with better graphics than what was shown prior to release?

One can dream I guess...

On a side note I just got New vegas on ps3 in the hopes that they actually fixed the damn thing...anyone played it recently? Is it buggy still?

wakeNbake3998d ago

Really like the vibrant colors, its a nice change from the drab greys and browns of Fallout 3.

nix3998d ago

I swear the dog can look better. I'm not so impressed with the graphics though having played games like Bloodborne and The Order.

I know i know.. Graphics isn't everything but it's 2015 people.

Lightning Mr Bubbles3998d ago

My Jaw dropped. And to my surprise people are complaining about the graphics not being so good. Did they watch the same trailer as me?

It has it's own unique art style, kind of like Bioshock had it's own style. It's not trying to look photo realistic or anything. The graphics are meant to look like that.

mikeslemonade3998d ago

I find these bethesda games underwhelming. The graphics in the trailer subpar to current standards. They look as good as COD Ghosts.

They compare the dog graphically to the COD Ghosts it is about the same or worst. Like the freaking tail is a polygonal shape!

SolidStoner3997d ago

looks very good for a fallout game.. it will be outstanding experience (after playing all other Fallout games I can tell) :)

just hope for more deserts, lonesome roads and other nuclear bomb wasted places... E3 gameplay.. hopes!!!

starchild3997d ago

Exciting! A new Fallout game for us to sink many hours into. I'm sure it will deliver.

It looks like they are using physically based rendering, which really helps the overall quality of the lighting and shading.

bloodybutcher3998d ago

haha, my reaction exactly xD just couldn't find my tutu. erm, i mean, just don't have one.yup.

osamaq3997d ago

graphics looks like shit !

lastdual3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

Classy trailer. And it's in-game footage. Just a glimpse makes me eager to start exploring! However, I almost wish they didn't show the "first emerge from the vault" scene as it seems they did. That's one of those moments you want to experience for yourself.

In any case, this should be great. And while Bethesda always knows how to push environments, it's good to see that the character models are looking way better as well.

FunkMacNasty3998d ago

And it's definitley set in My hometown, Boston MA! In the trailer we see the Bunker Hill monument, the state house, Fanuel Hall...

With the exception of the first portion of The Last of Us, I can't think of any other game that used Boston for the setting. I'm beyond excited to blast mutants in a setting I'm familiar with!

IamTylerDurden13998d ago

@ Funkmacnasty - AC3 used Boston for much of the game as it's setting and portrayed it very well.

I kind of want to check out Cali since they eluded to it constantly in nv. Not thrilled with Beantown. Nyc would've been crazy or even Chicago but i guess Boston is arguably the most historic American city and we know Fallout loves that 50's future Americana so it makes sense. Philly might've worked, i like how Homefront 2 is using it as their location.

Yukonsbud3997d ago

They need to make a game setting in Pittsburgh. I'm looking at you devs!

comebackkid98913997d ago

@FunkMacNasty
Same, assume I'll still need the map though :P

lastdual3997d ago

@Yukonsbud

Technically, Fallout 3 did briefly visit "The Pitt"

Not to stoke the flames. Oh heck why not. My PC is ready.

Hehe.

on_line_forever3998d ago

i had a bad feeling about this

if this had a poorly combat system and movement in 3rd person view like the last one and skyrim did then iam out and i won't get it .

and plus i don't like the graphic in this trailer its look like from last generation .

i hope people calm down and don't getting hype for this game .

Avernus3998d ago

What's funny is that despite its "poor combat system and movement" and graphics, Fallout is one of the best games EVER.

That shows you how much graphics is worth, plus the graphics seem fine to me, we watched the same trailer?

3998d ago
Lamboomington3998d ago

Trailer was epic. However, the graphics do indeed look dated

Saw a comment on the youtube video-

"Graphics, graphics never change" xD

Avernus3997d ago (Edited 3997d ago )

@redey3

Where did i say the game looks beautiful? You people put graphics above all, like it's the "end all be all" thing of gaming. The graphics in Fallout 3 was BAD, but that didn't take away from the fact that the game was great.

If you sprinkle gold ontop a turd, it's still a turd.

Adrian_v013997d ago

You hope people don't get hyped cause you don't like it? That's logic at it's best.

I could say the same, if they removed the third person view I'm out and won't get it. To each their own man. But don't be a graphics whore.

This is obviously the style they chose for the Fallout franchise. Same like Bioshock Infinite. That graphics looked dated as well but no one complained cause it was a hella good game.

sigfredod3998d ago

judging by the graphics 1080p/60fps on consoles version confirm?

LamerTamer3997d ago

Probably 1080p @ 26-30 FPS on PS4 and 900p @ 30 FPS Xbone.

My worry is that like all Bethesda games(and most games now days) FO4 will have megatons of game/quest breaking bugs. Every game they make is a buggy mess. I could never finish FO3 on the 360 because the "water of life" bug where every time I would go through the door that you needed to the game would freeze at the loading screen. They never fixed it either.

FO NV I almost couldn't continue because I had the game save corrupting bug. They did patch later so I was lucky.

There will probably be 10 patches on this game before it will be playable. If I was smart (and patient) I wouldn't buy FO4 for a couple of months after release

Vegamyster3997d ago (Edited 3997d ago )

That would be nice but i think it depends on how large the world is, NPC behavior/routines and how good the particle effects from your weapons look ect which we didn't get to see.

showtimefolks3998d ago

OMG

I hope hope hope this is coming in fall 2015 because the wait isn't gonna be fun. If we do have to wait till fall 2016 than I hope they have already outsourced remaster of fallout 3 and new Vegas, which is coming in fall 2015

I so want to play fallout 3 and new Vegas on ps4 while we wait for fallout 4. I hope both new Vegas and fallout 3 comes with GOTY(meaning all dlc)

LAWSON723998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

I think the game looks far too complete for a year. This winter or through first half of next year.

It has clearly been in development for a long while, and Bethesda is not one to tease a game too early.

Dear God how much I have missed you! Looks freaking good! :O

War, war never changes!

nX3998d ago

Snake said in Metal Gear Solid 4 that is has, though.

equal_youth3998d ago

Finally. If this is gameplay it looks freaking awesome! Now Release it in the next few month pls!

BigBosss3998d ago (Edited 3998d ago )

Most likely was gameplay man but obviously game is still being worked on

kraenk123998d ago

Looks good but nothing groundbreaking. Pretty sure it was in engine and that's how the game will look like on PC.

Malphite3998d ago

Definately gameplay graphics. Looks good. I like the artstyle. Seems like they went away from the Fallout 3 style which is a good thing in my book.

RegorL3997d ago

Gameplay?

This was a cinematic trailer just like Battlefront.

_-EDMIX-_3997d ago

He is very right. This game can very much likely release in November with a 6 month advertising window.

Fallout 3 had about a year or a bit longer as it was revealed at E3 2007, released Oct 2008. They could be seeking a short reveal, advertising etc.

The first demo was in 2008 E3, so if their first demo is at E3 2015, it could very well be releasing this fall.

I can see both a year and 6 month situation. This fall is pretty packed too, but I would buy Fallout 4 DAY 1!

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

-Foxtrot184d ago

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder184d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

lukasmain184d ago

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
