Anyone else think the character models and animation are more like 3rd quarter last gen than something we should be seeing today?

I just watched the trailer again and the characters looks like little dolls, keep an eye how the dog pivots and turns toward the end of the trailer, looked like how dogmeat got around.

I don't know; been 5 years and I was expecting something more. Between the atmospheric effects of Skyrim and Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight this month; Bethesda needs to push the envelope, instead of resting on one's laurels.

Lets hope with it only being on current gen the game won't be as buggy and glitchy like Bethesda other games were on ps3/360.
Can't wait to see what PC community does to the game with mods.

Can someone tell me if this is a sequel to 3, or a stand alone entry? Because if it's the latter, I will pick this up as my first Fallout game... *yes yes I know. I'm evil for never playing the series:p* but seriously, with these new consoles, I'm trying super hard to diversify my game library with a little of everything not to play just Call of Duty :p

I am beyond excited, beyond, beyond, but i'm not blown away with the visuals, but on the other hand i am okay with the visuals. I didn't expect it to look like The Order or Uncharted 4 but if it looked similar to the Witcher 3 that would've been nice. Truthfully, these huge Bethesda games never look pretty and they never run well but the openness, content and setting make up for it ten fold, or at least 7 fold.

The previous 2 Fallout games had your character being entirely mute, he never spoke one audible word as far i as i can remember so to see the possibility that your character might actually speak has me more excited than a Deathclaw in a hen house.

I think a holiday 2016 release is likely and judging on how much they showed it could be sooner. I know ME4 will be prettier covered in that chillingly gorgeous frostbite engine, but let us hope that the Shepardless space odyssey is at least as far along as a Man and His Dog.

This made my day and hopefully Fallout 4 will make this generation an even better one than I thought.

Bring back freedom with magic (even if exploitable it's fun). Bring back utterly bizarre and memorable characters (starfield felt like theirs were designed by a committee of wet blankets). Bring back actual consequential player choice ie different classes and guilds/houses/etc that can't all be done in the one playthrough. And update or replace that damn engine for more seamless streaming/traversal so dungeons, towns and buildings aren't segmented separate levels. And for the love of god don't dare do that shitty dialog wheel and voiced player again

Starfield could have become an (Xbox) megaseller and critically acclaimed milestone in the Sci-Fi genre.

I would have never let them work with CreationEngine 2 for that, but scrapped it completely.
