Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on PC? now i definitely know what's to come next.

MulderYuffie4009d ago

Really looking forward to this happy it's coming to PC! :)

iamtehpwn4009d ago

Really hoping that if Square Enix doesn't, that modders will---address some low resolution textures and also some NPC's looking painfully untouched from the remastering process.

DonkeyDoner4009d ago

all they care is money from PC gamer

NoctisPendragon4009d ago (Edited 4009d ago )

@kudostoyou

Which money ? They know FF Type-0 HD won't sell on consoles , they are just doing some marketing deal and letting more people know about FF Type-0 so FF Type-1 can sell well .

NoctisPendragon4009d ago

*won't sell on PC ,sry .

It sold well on consoles but the PC version will be something else ...

Rookie_Monster4009d ago (Edited 4009d ago )

Why PC monitor demand 1440p screenshoots!

I don't see why this game is even necessary on PC as it doesn't even show any graphics enhancement from even the portable port.

NoctisPendragon4009d ago

They are adding graphical options , so we never know and maybe a texture pack too (with some luck) .

Father__Merrin4009d ago

I'm playing g this on ps4 it's syprisingly good, you might like it

This game is good but the design is VERY japanese. Not by looks, just by choices. You can only have one quick item, so to use anything else you have to go through the menu (in real-time, so monsters are still attacking you). You can't phoenix down a dead party member once you put someone new in. There's no mini map, you have to constantly go to the menu to see the map. Even on the map, nothing is marked or anything. You can't actually see what your skills do unless you're in the level up menu. When you do see what your skills do, the descriptions are very vague. Many areas have ONE-shot kill enemies, and it's not until you lose one or two characters that the game tells you to just run. After using the same character enough, you'll unlock items for them after missions. My main character had a 12 str weapon and after a mission I unlocked a 56 strength weapon. That's just such a stupid gargantuan jump in power. Also the final boss is done VERY poorly. AI is awful and pretty useless honestly. You can't command them or anything. They needed to take some things from FFXII on how to have AI party members.

I'm not to say that I didn't enjoy the game, but this series needs a real next-gen release because this one just had weird design choices.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Review – Zero Regrets

Gary Green said: After finally getting the long-overdue platinum trophies for Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and XV, I wondered if I could manage another. Despite a few blunders, it’s a franchise worth showing off in your collection. I had to find another game with a realistically achievable platinum, which sadly rules out quite a few. Fortunately, I didn’t have far to look as I dusted off Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which was, in fact, my very first PS4 game, and one that’s aging surprisingly well.

Type-0 Is The Darkest Final Fantasy Ever Made

DS: “I hate that Type-0 is forgotten among the Final Fantasy games. While not the strongest entry, its mature story makes it stand out from the others. And even though Final Fantasy now has three rated M games — including Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin and Final Fantasy XVI, — Type-0 will always have the crown of being the first, and arguably the darkest.”

i agree that it is indeed dark, but it has its issues.

and i feel like the ending is what makes it really a dark final fantasy game.

the rest is more or less war where teenagers fight.

fsfsxii1077d ago

This game was the epitome of the FF dark age pretty much, was hella boring and the gameplay was tedious. I'm glad SE got the series back on track

gold_drake1077d ago

well, it was more of a spin off rly.
especially after they dropped the fabula nova crystalis stuff

H91077d ago

I actually really love this game, the main problem however was that the entire story and personality of the characters, was in the lore that you need to dig very deep to find and external materials outside of the game, honestly it has my favorite lore in the franchise, I wish they had made the game more story focused, god it would have been a masterpiece

This Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Mod Runs The Game At 120 FPS

The PC port of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD had many problems, and now a new mod fixes them and lets you play at 120 FPS.

jznrpg1249d ago

120fps is overrated and totally unnecessary for these types of games . 60fps is more than plenty

KrillinShine1249d ago (Edited 1249d ago )

That's subjective, I'll take 120fps if the hardware can handle it over 60fps if given the option. Nothing wrong with liking smoother visuals.

jznrpg1249d ago (Edited 1249d ago )

120fps will make most games suffer someway . If it doesn’t sure great 120fps but if it takes anything away from it I’d rather have 60fps . For online shooters I get it but for RPGs I’d rather have more detail and such and 60fps instead of losing some of that and 120fps .
I played DMC at 120fps and I couldn’t tell the difference myself besides that the graphics were worse .

KrillinShine1249d ago

You're missing the point - to some people 120fps is more pleasing to the eye than sharper visuals, higher texture quality and/or AO. No harm in giving people the option for it, mod or not.

Also, you couldn't tell the difference between 60fps and 120fps? Are you sure you have a monitor that supports 120fps? It's a night and day difference to me.

CrimsonWing691249d ago

I couldn’t get into this game. I probably should give it another try.

Kurisu1249d ago

I quite enjoyed the game to be honest! Sure, the story wasn't amazing. But it was good to see FF try a new direction. Was nice having so many playable characters, but it's a shame that there is little to no charcater development for any of them.

CrimsonWing691249d ago

Ye, you're not alone. I really tired, but I couldn't. The only reason I even pushed myself to play it for a while was because I'm an FF fan, but it just didn't click. The intro FMV was epic though.

jznrpg1249d ago

The way it loads so much I didn’t care for but it’s not a bad game . Story is weak and if they had a good story I would love it . But with a meh story it’s decent . I like most things Final Fantasy though so I could see how some wouldn’t care for it .

CrimsonWing691249d ago

Yea, I’m in the same boat where I can like most things Final Fantasy related. I’d like to fire it up again just to get the platinum at least.

Shinox1249d ago

One of the worst overhyped FF games with garbage story , people made a mistake hyping this up

Kurisu1249d ago

I'm still glad that I actually got to play it. When it released exclusively in Japan on PSP I didn't think I'd ever get the chance.

jznrpg1249d ago

I enjoyed it but I see the point of the story being bleh

TheColbertinator1249d ago

This was originally a mobile game in development so the lack of vision became apparent as the game released on the PSP first.

Kurisu1248d ago

Agito XIII, back when the Fabula Nova Crystallis games was supposedly going to be a thing.
