Hopefully with the next generation consoles, we can at least get 4k gaming or maybe even 1440p.

Seeing as most people have 1080p tvs 1080p is fine for now but I would expect the next generation to jump up to 4k 30fps minimum. Anyway, there are games which look better in 1080p than 4k so resolution isn't everything.

It's awesome. But the price point for a decent 4K gaming setup is just not worth it. My opinion anyways.

I agree with the video. I would be happier with 2k or even 1080p with a really high frame rate. When I finally get my pc that's what I'll be shooting for.

I went 4k prior to the new consoles being announced. It kind of ruined the consoles for me as I only can look at the exclusives now.

It is a luxury no doubt. Similar to $300 jeans or shirts, they are better but depends on what you're into and income. Same as hotel rooms you can always go up it just depends on where you are in life.

If games are important to you I don't see the problem with putting money into a 4k rig, I mean you could blow that money in Vegas 1 time or play games many times per week.

As someone who own's a 4k system I love it and can't go back, But at the same time it wasn't cheap and still comes with a mess load of problems. Lot's more maintenance then a regular system, I have to take it outside and clean it with canned air once a week. If I don't it just clogs up the rads and pretty muchs cuts my performance by a lot, Also it likes power, and a lot of it.

the question isn't "4K gaming - is it worth it?" because that answer is NO for most people. The question is "4k gaming - how cool is it?" and the answer for everyone is SUPER COOL. I chose 1080p 120hz over higher resolution, but I'm definitely looking forward to going 4k w/high refresh in the future.

I'm sure it looks pretty. But I'm find with the 1080p TVs I have. Plus I can wait many more years until 4K is the standard. Because I'm not going to jump into anything so new so quickly.

From this moment henceforth, Xbox hardware shall simply just exist but have no significant bearing from a business standpoint or from a gamer culture standpoint. It will simply be there for the people that want to have it and that's fine if they're selling it at a high price and actually making money off each sale.

But they should never ever again be Xbox fanboys anymore than they should be Lenovo laptop fanboys it's just a piece of hardware that exists to serve a purpose for niche group of people.

I’ll say this. Cyberpunk had a tumultuous start on console. Even if it had sold like crazy, that whole almost unplayable fiasco and being given no questions asked refunds made a lot of people not look back.
When it comes to PC, people are a lot more forgiving of things like that, especially on Steam, because of the return policy. I really think console manufacturers should implement the exact same refund policy. Was it played under X time? Refund it. It makes people take that risk on games a LOT more than on console. Bought this game and it was broken? Refund it. They said they fixed it 3 months later? Buy it again. It’s fixed but just not fun? Refund it. On console you don’t have that luxury. Was it downloaded? GG. No refund. Lord knows my Steam library is full of “I’ll try it” games that I loved and I’m glad I can take a rush on. On console, specifically PlayStation because I’m not buying Xbox games, I take calculated risk. Known developers. Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden ragebound, stuff like that. Obviously big exclusives and games too. I would have never tried Little Bookstore on PlayStation, but on Steam… why not? Hellish Quart? Why not. Buckshot Roulette? Why not.
