if the game is downgraded why support them. CDPR is Crying over pirates pirate their game. OFC they will pirate when you lie to us. Just be honest and say we did downgrade to get stable FPS.. or something dont hide it

I'm sure there are tons of other games that haven't been "COMPLETELY DOWNGRADED AND RUINED BY CONSOLES AND GREED".

Or maybe you all can band together and try and sue CDPR and get laughed out of court like that Killzone lawsuit.

I think it's funny that people complained that the recommended specs were to high, yet could you imagine them with the old build?

Building a game that scale, with those graphics was to much for most PC's even. And would have made the cost of this game allot more due to high detail for asset creation.

This game still looks amazing everyone should calm down. Maybe The Witcher will get an update down the road the will look more like that.
I haven't played anything from them besides a bit of the first one. However they seem like the type of Devs that wouldn't downgrade the pc version just for the consoles.

Just two more days and this game will have my Xbox working overtime. Downgrade and all this game still looks damn beautiful.

We still have mods, Skyrim is an ugly game, but with mods you can make it gorgeous.

Maybe it's to save the consoles from embarrassment, that's where most of the revenue comes from.I expect the PC to keep getting gimped because of Ps4 and X1

This is why I don't game on PC anymore. Why bother spending silly amounts of money on building/upgrading a PC when this sort of things happen. This is why I just stick to consoles. Sure they may not be 60FPS all the time but graphically there not that much difference these days to warrant upgrading my PC.

The only reason they downgrade it is to sell us later on an enhance
hd version of the game like they did with witcher 2 :The witcher 3 enhanced edition game of the year bullshit. So you get to buy it two times.

This is why you don't put all your eggs in one basket. A lot of people did with steam, and look at it now. It's happening with CD Projekt Red. Stop blindly following brands.

CDPR are:

1. Co-owners and operator of a completely DRM free game distribution platform.
2. Creators of 3 (at this point) critically acclaimed, genre defining RPGs.
3. Creators of a game with the biggest open world in modern gaming.
4. Creators of one of the best written, acted and mature games in modern gaming.
5. Have discounted the price of their game (significantly) on all platforms available, before launch, despite them being a relatively small team and creating a 200 plus hour worth of content game.
6. Have showed incredible passion for their game to the point of working directly with the man who created Cyberpunk to help create Cyberpunk 2077
7. Have been complete class acts in congratulating their competitors on their successes while even defending them when accusations are lobbed their way. (Downgrades..for example)

8. Are apparently complete lairs, thieves the biggest sellouts ever because... wait for it... "this game doesn't look as shiny as it did in the before videos"

I'll be awaiting the list of HORRIBLE things CDPR have done to try to disprove my point.

I love to read all the time when pc gamers get mad when developers don't bleed time and money into making their ports awesome.....the money is in console sales not pc sales...pc gamers need to realize this and stop crying....this game will sell amazing now that's it's on 3 platforms...so much so that it will ensure a witcher 4 and at least 5...so instead of complaining that the game won't take advantage of your over priced rig that you don't need...be thankful of the sales both consoles will bring to the developer and what that means for the future.

I gotta say this is disappointing and kinda unexpected maybe mods can help make this game even better but i would take CDPR games over any other even tho im not that into The Witcher games (i just feel like something is missing or maybe its just the atmosphere of the game idk) and i will play or not play the game no matter what anyone say if i like the game ill play it and that is that. I like CDRP simply because they fight for DRM free games, have innovative things in gameplay and story, great way to deal with DLC scam and i see a bright future for them in gaming industry BUT money corrupts most i just hope they are not next and with that said, fool me once shame on you, fools me twice shame on me... there wont be a third time. Remember GAMERS are those that have control and power not publishers or developers and they know it i'm just not sure gamer do.

Consoles are to blame(inferior hardware, mainly gpu), the PC version looks slightly better than consoles, if it would look super ultra on PC it will be to obvious what platform people will choose and console fanboys will rage and say that the game is lame on console and that the dev is lazy.

Brace yourselfs "mods are coming"! Who cares if they downgrade. If the Pc community can make Skyrim look photorealistic and considering its age, then I am sure Witcher will only be rivaled by real life by the time modders are done with it.

Besides, most multiplatform games sell more on consoles and therefore more profitable for developers, why shouldn't they cater to console gamers?

Isn't funny how the money (gross overspending if you ask me) PC people spend nets them nothing close to it in comparison with a console that costs a third. I want to see a dollar comparison video that shows the dollar amount for a ps4 and rig capable of ultra for the witcher 3. Ha

There is NO downgrade.

Most of the trailer was part CGI, and a mixture of a high end demo to sell the game. Most likely rendered on a high end 4 gpu setup with every effect on.

They Know most people won't be able to run it at those settings and adjust accordingly.

"Ha ha, console peasants, we have mods, we can make this game look even better than ultra settings!"

You PC folks love to through around how you can mod the game and make it look better, so why complain about a downgrade if you already know one of you will make it better?

From this moment henceforth, Xbox hardware shall simply just exist but have no significant bearing from a business standpoint or from a gamer culture standpoint. It will simply be there for the people that want to have it and that's fine if they're selling it at a high price and actually making money off each sale.

But they should never ever again be Xbox fanboys anymore than they should be Lenovo laptop fanboys it's just a piece of hardware that exists to serve a purpose for niche group of people.

I’ll say this. Cyberpunk had a tumultuous start on console. Even if it had sold like crazy, that whole almost unplayable fiasco and being given no questions asked refunds made a lot of people not look back.
When it comes to PC, people are a lot more forgiving of things like that, especially on Steam, because of the return policy. I really think console manufacturers should implement the exact same refund policy. Was it played under X time? Refund it. It makes people take that risk on games a LOT more than on console. Bought this game and it was broken? Refund it. They said they fixed it 3 months later? Buy it again. It’s fixed but just not fun? Refund it. On console you don’t have that luxury. Was it downloaded? GG. No refund. Lord knows my Steam library is full of “I’ll try it” games that I loved and I’m glad I can take a rush on. On console, specifically PlayStation because I’m not buying Xbox games, I take calculated risk. Known developers. Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden ragebound, stuff like that. Obviously big exclusives and games too. I would have never tried Little Bookstore on PlayStation, but on Steam… why not? Hellish Quart? Why not. Buckshot Roulette? Why not.
