GameXplain chat with the developers behind Yooka-Laylee including Chris Sutherland, Gavin Price, Steven Hurst, and Andy Robinson, to find out more about the Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor. They cover a range of topics such as how the game came together, the character design, if the main villian will rhyme once again, and the Ukulele of Time?! (don't get too excited about that last one). All this and more in our interview with Playtonic games!

Playtonic Games CEO Gavin Price chats with Gamer Social Club exclusively to discuss the upcoming "remakester", Yooka-Replaylee.
My experience with the new demo is fairly positive it's a huge improvement over the base game however theres now a ton of stky that wasn't there before and is unskipable this hurts it significantly.

Playtonic has officially announced they had to let some of their staff go; ask that other developers offer them a position if possible.
Layoffs are always sad but in this case, it makes sense? They've only developed two games of their own and their third is a remake of the first that's been taking a very long time. I can't imagine there's much revenue flowing in to sustain them
It's sad, I was hoping they'd be super successful with how fun Yooka-Laylee was despite being rough around the edges. However they did only 2 games and the 3rd game is a remake, I was kind of expecting a proper Yooka-Laylee 2 by now.
I wish they were allowed to make Banjo-Threeie
Playtonic writes: "I sat down with Gavin & Mark, veteran folks here at Playtonic to discuss Yooka-Replaylee in a bit more detail. After some technical difficulties with our first attempt, we took the chance to get a bit more... unhinged... with this one."
