NE: "Xenoblade Chronicles X was a huge undertaking for Monolith Soft. Not only is the game quite a bit bigger than the original title on Wii, but this was also the studio’s first time working with HD development."

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Xenoblade Chronicles series composer Manami Kiyota has possibly finished the final orchestra recording for the next Monolith Soft title.
Makes sense. It's been nearly 3 years since the DLC for 3 came out. The next Xenoblade or whatever they end up calling it will probably come out next year.
Tetsuya Takahashi:"As this was our first HD title, it was decided from the start that we won’t use cutting edge technology."
So Xenoblade Chronicles X isn't the Wii U at its max potential?
That's amazing (meaning, the Wii U is very efficient console in the right set of hands)!
Of Course nintendo would help them. Monolith Soft are owned by nintendo!
If Ninteodo assisted does that mean it only allows you to pair up with random people, or have to put in a friend code, or you can't have voice chat? Or perhaps they just don't think online is necessary at all.
Clearly the Wii U is no slouch. I can't wait to see what The Legend Of Zelda Wii U looks like next year. I'm sure it's going to look more beautiful then ever.
Also something else to take away from this article and his comment is Monolith Soft is already gearing up for their next tittle. If that is true I can't wait to see what Monolith Soft does on the Nintendo NX.
Nintendo assisted? Nintendo who exactly? Monolith Soft is 100% owned by Nintendo the publisher. I assume they mean EAD since Monolith Soft is technically as Nintendo as any other 1st party Nintendo studio.
Iwata mentioned he wants more teamwork between all their teams. Guess this is a start.
