If it releases with none of bf4 issues....ill praise no space battles as the right choice. But we all know it'll be rife with connection issues and hit detection issues and balancing issues etc.

For a game based on star wars......and a reboot/master of a game that had space battles. It indeed seems lazy or doc agenda.

Imagine a racer where corners are deemed out of the main experience! Or a flight SIM that focuses on flight.....landing is DLC!

I don't care if it's in space or even on land just so long as I feel like I'm part of the Star Wars universe!

The way I look at it is, Battlefront isn't a super competitive arena shooter, it's about having a huge sandbox to have FUN in. Space battles were really fun in BF2 and now they're just going to scrap that? Yeah this is sounding less and less like Battlefront and more and more like Battlefield. Let the excuses roll.

This game has been nothing but a laundry list of stripped features and content and endless damage control from the devs and the brain-dead fanboy apologists.

Im done with Dice and EA. Im not going to continue to support these pathetic standards. Not in a battlefront game.

I dont mind it coming later if the main game is polished and fun out of the box.

I am astounded by how many people here can't understand this simple premise.... This is a reboot of the first Battlefront. There were no space battles. There was no campaign. This is not Battlefront 3, or a reboot of 2, this is a reboot of 1. What is so hard to understand. Did those of you that are here complaining hate the first game?..

A bit if advice, if I may... Get approval from whoever you need too, and create your own mind blowing version of Battlefront, with full on space battles, and payable AT ATs, and I promise I will buy it.

You mean to tell me Star Wars Battlefront 2 can have space battles almost just like 2142, not really but you get the idea, and a game on next gen will not even have anything close to it...

Battlefront 2 looks like a better game so far, they got to spoil me with other features now.

No space battles yet so they can milk more money out of it as DLC. Mark my words. That's why Battlefield games start with 8 maps and finish with 16. They sell half the game for the full price and then charge you extra to have the complete package. And a boxcutter knife.

Battlefront 2 had Space, but it had it's own servers. Jedi Assault also had its own servers. There was even an Ewok game and Wompa game. We also had Clone Wars as well as Imperial wars and Galactic Conquest.
I'm excited for this game, but it seems like a rush job.

Basically with the core game 40 players or 20v20

So having space battles is not viable as players would be pulled away from planet combat lacking numbers on both fronts

But of course their GREEDY CASH COW plan for a space battle expansion pack sounds about right and you can nearly smell it coming and people will pay for it to experience those epic space battles with great graphics !!!!

This is not the SW game I'm looking for.

Basically saying we want to make battlefield star wars and adding space battles wouldnt allow us to do that. We want to be lazy and just making a star wars themed battlefield will allows us to be lazy. As thats what it is missing it out..

If you're disappointed about space battle's missing in this game, you can still play Starfox Assault which offers both(ground and space battle) ;)

I was excited about this game.

They clearly didn't have enough time to create this game... so they used Frostbite 3 instead of creating a new engine specific for the Star Wars Universe.

I am just realizing that this is going to be a re-skinned Battlefield 4.. that's the reason why it has no space battles.

Hardline was no different. They don't care.

EA is the worst company out there. I'm not even blaming DICE, they just do what they are told. You can't create a full fledged Battlefront game within 2 and a half years.
