IGN: E3 '08: Sonic Chronicles: TDB Hands-On

Big the Cat can poison foes. Cream the Rabbit can heal her friends. E-123 Omega can manipulate time itself, and main man Sonic is so fast that he can attack his enemies three different times in every single round. Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood was available to play here on the show floor at E3 this week, and one of the best parts of getting to go hands-on with this particular new demo of the game was experiencing the variety and distinctiveness of the title's many playable characters. It's an aspect of the game that hasn't been discussed too much yet – but it's an important element, and one worth talking about.

to be fair tho, the rpg for the DS was a mess.
touchscreen-only was not a good way to make a game like this.

I wish Sega got together with Square and made a Sonic RPG for the Genesis I would have played that.

I Know It Sucked, But It's Time For Another Sonic Chronicles Game

Just because the first one sucked, doesn't mean Sega should abandon the idea of a Sonic RPG.
