BagoGames: With close to 5 weeks to go until E3, we will countdown each week with our theories and hopes for what will be presented from various companies at the convention. This week we will be looking at the Japanese RPG powerhouse, Square Enix who will be hosting their own conference at E3 this year.

i get the “weird combo” angle, but i’m curious what you think holds up best: diablo’s atmosphere, balatro’s loop, or kh3’s combat. i bounced off kh3 hard after seeing casino junk shoved into a fan discord, including https://monopolybigballerli... and it soured my mood for anything with flashy “chance” mechanics. balatro still feels clever to me since the randomness is the point and you’re making real decisions around it. also had a similar spam wave on a retro forum with https://red-baron.org/ and https://dream-catcher-game.... and it’s annoying how it derails game talk.

When I played this game I was in disbelief that I had somehow not played this franchise. I absolutely adored this game, and have since played two other entries. Been saving the two on 3ds. Next entry is easily a day one purchase.
I had the same man, the goofy aesthetics always kinda prevented me from trying it, but boy was I wrong.
Me too after the comments a few years ago. Hopefully the success of recent ones changed their idiotic thinking
Good. Prefer 4-7 with DS & PS1 graphic though, modest yet stimulating imagination.
Only DQ game i've ever played and one of the best games I've ever played , such a great experience . I wonder if the original ps4 release was included in these sales
i actually bought DQ8 on ps2 back in the day but mainly for the FF12 demo disc lol . I tried it but there were sooo many rpgs to play at the time that I think I played it for for a little bit before trading it in , maybe if they come out with a remaster/remake I'll try it out again
Its really weird that Square Enix have officially became my most anticipated Publisher/Developers this gen. Those guys are making one hell of a comeback.
If they remaster FFXII to the PS4 then there goes another 1000 hour of my life. God, i love that game.
I haven't played a FF game since V11. I must admit that XV has my interest. Tomb raider looks to be getting it grove back. Both of this games should be getting the DX12 treatment on X1 and PC. Hope that helps with keeping a good locked frame rate and some cool lighting the can seriously add to emersion.
I'm excited for Tomb Raider. The resurrection and reinvention of that series was amazing. I'm with Bigpappy. Been out of the FF game for a while. Since 9 really. Would love if XV get's me back in.
