A fantastic looking hack-n-slash game, X-Blades sees you as the heroine Ayumi on a mission to find two mystical stones that are cursed by the evil power of darkness. It's up to Ayumi to find out the curse's secret and defeat the evil darkness.
The gameplay is a lot like the Devil May Cry games, using both close combat and long range projectile attacks with two gun blades (i.e. Squall's weapon from FFVIII). Like the DMC series, the action is also extremely fast-paced. Along with her two gun blades, Ayumi has the ability to cast different spells, fighting her way through many different levels and a wide range of enemies."

Why does this stuff get approved on N4G? Hmmmmmm... Probably because there are too many horny nerds on this site that like to masturbate to this shit!

Hardcore Gamer: The third Reboot bundle is now available, and while it lacks anything involving the early'00s CG show, it does contain some games for a minimal fee. For the first 48 hours of the deal, so until Wednesday, you can get Rune Classic, X Blades, Hoard Complete Pack, Ion Assault, Knights and Merchants, and Planets Under Attack for only $2.

By relooking X-Blades' heroine, Konami has taken the risk to give a follow-up to a very average game. [...] Good ideas are there but they are not mastered, and BoT misses the mark both in terms of art direction and game world. Even though the gameplay is pretty dynamic, it's quite simplistic and the introduction of returns in time is not sophisticated enough to breathe new life to the action. That's unfortunate, because the heroine deserved better.
PROS: Costs 30 Euros, pretty dynamic, returns in time add originality
CONS: Strikes lack impact, returns in time not fleshed out enough, dodgy art direction, Ayumi just won't shut up
Sounds about accurate. But I enjoyed it for whatever it was worth. Plus I just couldn't help but be wowed by her strut when I tilted the LS slightly upwards.
