Talk about suspense. Broken Age, Tim Schafer’s Kickstarter-funded return to the point-and-click adventure, has been stuck in limbo for more than a year, with a tantalizing first-act cliffhanger. Its two protagonists and split setting—Shay, the boy bored at being coddled in his futuristic spaceship, and Vella, the girl rebelling against the backward traditions of her pastoral village—were reframed in a surprising new context that would make anyone desperate to find out what happens next. And then? A long, long wait.

Celebrating the album releases of Broken Age, and the recent re-release of the score for Grim Fandango are a very BIG deal.
So much so, that back in May, I went in search of their composer: industry legend Peter McConnell. On a very bright and HOT day in June, Peter and I discussed the hidden blessings of crowd-funding, the echoes of space, the villain theme, Lucas Arts, and the beginnings of his work on Grim Fandango.

For one reason or another, these ten have a certain something that makes it stand out amongst the crowd. In order to be considered the adventure game had to be fully released. This means that if it's an episodic game every episode needs to be playable."
I'm so happy this genre is seeing resurgence, my best gaming experiences have come from point click adventures, Monkey Islands, Goblins, Beneath a Steel Sky, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Fate of Atlantis, etc….. I loved playing through Grim Fandango again and we also have the remaster of Day of the Tentacle to look forward to.
Judging from the titles this article lists it seems I have some catching up to do as I've only played Broken Sword 5 and Broken Age.
