Three very fun and very good games. If you get the chance, play all three.

Sunset Overdrive was my favorite game of 2014 and Saints Row 4 Re-Elected is my favorite game so far this year. Infamous SS was solid but not nearly as fun or as big as the other two. I always found all the comparisons of Sunset Overdrive and Infamous silly. Sunset is MUCH closer to Saints Row 4.

I think all 3 are very close in terms of Fun Factor. SR4 was the 1st and last game I finished in YEARS (on PC). It was a lot of fun. SSOD is probably more fun and exciting, but their is no plot or character development/connection. I didn't play ISS, but I have played Infamous on PS3. I'm thinking it's the least fun, but the best plot and action mechanics.

I:SS traversal is fantastic especially with neon and video powers IDK how SSOD won that but hey opinions I guess

I thought the story was pretty good and the graphics too... I little repetitive bit I liked upgrading my powers.

Gotta give sunset Overdrive a try.

I was a big fan of the first two infamous games. I:SS was a gorgeous game and I felt that the story started off strong, but the downfall was the repetitiveness. Fetch quests and other missions just felt like rinse and repeat. The powers while cool at first, became rather boring later cause they ended up being just re-skinned versions of the previous (minus the dash ability). Then I felt that the story got progressively boring. The city was beautiful. The choices also did not matter that much so I did not play another play through.

SSO I just got recently with the purchase of an X1. While not as graphically impressive as I:SS, the art style is what holds it up. Also the performance with the amount of enemies is also amazing. While the story is minimalistic it was a hell of a ride and made me laugh and I loved how it broke the fourth wall as well as introduced cool respawn mechanisms. Weapons were fun and varied, traversal was excellent too. The game had it's fair share of fetch quests and go kill these enemies over here and there, but how the mission was introduced and executed made it fun. The DLC was also fun and had a good story. I just wish this game had a camera mode. Would be pretty epic.

The movement animations in both games were spectacular and fluid. Overall, liked I:SS and loved SSO.

Infamous second son was great, just as good as the first two. Haven't played sunset but from what i hear its the same but with silly ratchet and clank type kid stuff thrown in, not for me.

How about we eliminate Saints Row 4 from the list?

Infamous and SSO are too good to be compared to it.

When you watch videos of Sunset Overdrive it just looks like being on one giant bouncy castle, the same 5 minutes of fun repeated over and over again in slightly different ways.
No matter how polished and refreshing the visual style is, I'm a little surprised it got quite such good reviews. Is it the Insomniac guns that have swayed people as it doesn't quite look as laid back cool as Jet Set Radio Future to me? Instead it looks too sugar rushed to be enjoyable for long periods of time and far too combat focused for a world that should beg to sometimes be slowly appreciated. And for such a wacky world, the movement seems to be all about simple grinding and bouncing. Are there no elaborate contraptions like loop the loops? Can we have an episode where there's no combat, no mutants, and just wacky exploration and maybe a simple 'escape from the police' scenario?

Seem to be a lot of people assuming colourful and bright means childish.

Perhaps people have forgotten that not all adult games used to be grey and brown colour pallets with no jokes.

Sunset Overdrive is certainly not for children and whilst its irreverent sense of humour didn't always work with me, its anarchic selection of weapons were fun and interesting.

Didn't really like second son. I want Cole back.

Definitely prefer Cole and the first and second game but I still enjoyed second son and first light

Sony has so many great dominant IP's that they can bring back, such as Infamous, Socom, Ape Escape, Jak & Daxter, Siren, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet, Gravity Rushy, Motorstorm, Wild Arms, Resistance, Wipeout, Alundra, Colony Wars, Cool Boarders, Knack, Syphon Filter, Dark Cloud, Omega Boost, The Legend of Dragoon, G-Police, The Getaway and so on. Many of these games is what defines Playstation and sets them apart in previous generations.

I rather they focus on that, instead of Live Service games that's been so heavily invested now days.

They could also work with third parties developers to bring these franchises back like Parasite Eve, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, Dino Crisis, Ridge Racer, SSX, Tenchu, Jade Cocoon, Xenogears, Lunar Silver Star, Nightmare Creatures, Vagrant Story, Shadow Hearts, Driver, Breath of Fire, Tomba, Legend of Legaia, Okami..etc

I'm more of a new IP dude but infamous is one of the few series I want more of. Second son 2 where you play as delsin, fetch, and the video game guy (eugene I think?), Infamous 3 where cole comes back and maybe teams up with delsin against a new threat, A new game where maybe you pllay as another new protag who has to fight against an evil deslin who got messed up from absorbing too many powers and became some unstable super powered dude similar to the beast in infamous 2. Or just a whole new plot, characters and city. Series has a lot of potential

I doubt it but it would be welcomed or atleast the 3 games remastered for ps5 I know it'd look dope af

Problem with infamous is the morality system played into the endings in all the games so even though the player gets a choice for good of bad ending a sequel typically has to chose one of those endings to make cannon which may not align with players.

However I would love another one of these games they were all amazing

God I hope so. I’d be down with a new character, maybe in somewhere not in the US, like put it in London, Prague, Venice, somewhere iconic.
