The game is missing key features that older ones had. To me it feels like lazy development on the part of dice. The only thing that will change minds is good game play videos to pump everyone up again. Otherwise it'll just feel like a reskinned fps game.

It has a singeplayer experience missions that can be played in singleplayer and as far as I remember Battlefront 2 had something similar and not a campaign.

The lack of space battles is a negative, but for everything else people should chill a bit and wait until we see actual gameplay instead of saying how it will suck. I'm not a fan of EA and after BF3 and BF4 I certainly have reservations if DICE can launch the game in a state where it's playable without lag, server issues and stable, but let's wait and see first.

Guess I am going to give it a shot on EA access but I as m not really excited about what is going on with the game so far. No space battle is just lame.

20 v 20 to me is a step back

No space battles and basing it on the original trilogies,
1. New hope takes place in space (how could they leave out the battle of yavin and assult on the Death Star was asking to be made a mission)

2. Hoth (land based)

3. Battle of endor (battle is on and above, here you have 2 missions bring down the deflector and destroy the Death Star , this was asking to be made in to a massive team based level, team in space have to hold out until the team on endor drop the shield, then it's over to the guys in space)

How could they have missed these, there the most iconic parts, the only one we will see is hoth.

I'll be interested to see two the falcon is flyable in this

Poor show but from EA what do you expect.

I prefer that EA focus on a excellent multiplayer game than launching a uninspiring single player campaing with a weak multiplayer like Battlefield-hardline. In November I hope to be playing an excellent multiplayer Star Wars game and I think that EA is in the right direction!

I'm confused why people are so excited for this game?

Not because it doesn't look good, but because the first two games were hardly gigantic sellers. What makes this one so different?

game looks great and i hope they dont remove the basics. Which is fighting in space...like isnt that what star wars is about? Also and lobby option to let 40v40 people play just for fun. and have like rank matches set at 20v20 not hard just enable it ffs !

From what i've heard/read there are NO space battles, vehicles are restricted to specific ZONES of the map. That's already two huge strikes. Also NO single player campaign, pre-order dlc, and it's made by EA. I'll still hold back my judgement but the outlook is bleak to me...

Eh. The lack of campaign is a bummer, but I was never into the space battles. Sure, branching off to destroy a capital ship's vital systems (life support, automated weapons, etc.) was cool and interesting until we all figured out it was a lot easier and a lot faster to zerg rush the generator room and destroy that outright.

And that was if we (the team) managed to break through the barrier over the flight deck, land in the flight deck without being shot to hell or (more likely) crash like an idiot.

Good thing this is Battlefront and not Battlefront 3 so it can't take one step forward and two steps back.

As usual, the nay sayers have struck and have begun their rants with very little real information. Everyone's an expert except the developers right?

Seriously people are tearing this a new one without seeing anything except a great looking trailer.

No SP.
Not enough maps.
No Space Battles.

I want Space Battles but they have to get the ground battles right 1st. Add space as an expansion.

10+ maps is plenty for me. DOTA has 1 and is amazing. How many maps did TF have? I CO CARE more about game modes then maps.

And I can't even imagine what a single player campaign would look like. You want a bunch of chappy AI bots to fight with?

No space battles? Buy used, I can't believe they would even consider yet implement such a blasphemous idea? this is definitely do worst joke I have heard all year long

All this whining over these missing features is just pure BS.

First of all, you all should be grateful because this is the first legit Star Wars game I can recall since Republic Commando.

Missing space battles? You still can fight on planets. Just like the first BF1 if I recall right. So you still gonna have fun flying around.

People who are complaining over the missing story mode also is just none sense. The series never had real single player levels. It still feels as a Multiplayer experience except you were fighting bots. So I don't see a complete loss here. The only thing DICE could do here if they made it like Battelfield with a real dedicated levels with its own characters and missions.

Anyway, I believe if you want more of this and the game was actually fun in its aspects, then you should support and tell DICE to bring on a more heavier sequel.

And we all know that EA is working with a story-focused Star Wars game anyway so I don't think we are missing a big thing here. I am just happy they stopped making LEGO Star Wars.

Wasn't this video suppose to BREAK the internet my internet works fine not only that the video didn't even slow down like some of the video's on this web site. I know Dice very well I got money ridding that says Battlefronts online mode will be broken day 1. With Dice working on the fix.

For me, this game took two steps forward with the third step still in question (DLC maybe). I'm glad they didn't add a SP campaign; because I know once I complete it, I will probably never touch that part of the game as long as I own it.

I don't see the point in devoting a lot of resources into a part of the game that I'm only going to spend 7-11 hours of my time playing and then probably never use again. Multiplayer is where my main focus is at.

Besides, even if this game did have SP, there's a good chance we would've been left disappointed. DICE's bread and butter is multiplayer, not SP. And who knows, maybe the SP/Co-Op missions inspired by moments in the films will be challenging and intriguing.
