EB: Like many of you, I have been getting sick and tired of all the downloadable content launched in our faces the second a big AAA game gets released into the big open world of gaming. Booting up that game for the first time and then instantly seeing some kind of store plastered on the main menu linking me to some new skins, side quests, or characters is very much something which I, like many, absolutely despise. Despite hearing so many cries from gamers everywhere, DLC is rife and the chances of publishers calling for it to be halted indefinitely are incredibly unlikely thanks to the insane amounts of cash it rakes in, but with that we surely must have some control over the crap that runs through stores as opposed to the good stuff right?

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

The latest revenue report from CD Projekt Group shows Xbox only made up 10% of sales for The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 in 2025.
Hey it’s ok. They are really impressed with XBOx’s new CEO so exclusivity is on the way. 😂
Ok but I mean be logical ... modern PC, Switch, PS4 PS5 then you have XBOX, of all of those XBOX is probably only 10 percent... I mean, what do you expect? 10 percent increase in sales is still nothing to sneeze at, remember - this is CD projekt red and they sell a lot of software. 10 percent of their sales is probably what most studios DREAM of selling .... just playing devils advocate..... its easy to say LOL haha XBOX.... but.. I mean we know what it is at this point. I havent bought on since my xbox one X and before that I only used other peoples xboxes since the OG XBOX and stick with PC and Playstation and switch OLED, but .. I mean.... theres nothing WRONG with an xbox considering its just not the best - but they work fine. make no mistake.

It has been recently revealed by an artist that a sequel to the 2015 title Evolve was in the works. However, this project wouldn't last long.
Was this game ahead of its time? A few years later games like Dead By Daylight, Friday the 13th and other asymmetrical games exploded onto the scene.
It really depends, if its a pretty complet game that you really love, and you just keep wishing for more and more content i see nothing wrong with DLC has long has it mantains quality and its not a pure cash grab.
Does not matter whether we like it or not. We are buying DLC and the developers are making more $.
As a positive note, games are going on sale much more quickly vs being full price for 1-2 years, which was standard for many years. So, if you wait to buy you can get the DLC included or use the extra $ to buy the DLC, problem solved.
If we talking Wither 3 type DLC then YES!
If we talking Mass Effect 2 and 3 type BS like color changes and stupid guns and who can ever forget Horse Armor (the one that started it all) then the answer is a resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOO!
By the way, please be sure to tell us exactly what we get with season passes, crapfest like Max Payne season pass are basically a@@-rape in your pocket.
Give me the days of real expansion packs than DLC any day.
Is the main game, without DLC, worth the price it's sold at?
If the answer is yes, I have no problem with DLC, day-one or otherwise. I got my money's worth out of the game.
Now, is the DLC content worth the price IT'S sold at? That's even more subjective. I'm probably not going to spend money on a costume pack, but if someone else considers that worthwhile, fine. As long as the answer to the first question is "yes," I don't think DLC really harms anything.
The answers to both questions are subjective, so it's good to research a game and DLC before you buy anything... and season passes can be dangerous that way if they aren't clear about what they contain.
