Yeah maybe you can look like that with mods on the PC version soon. But the video end result looks nothing like the image on this article.

Still cool, I guess.

fr0sty4059d ago

7 discs. The PC version of the game comes on 7 discs. Is this the 80s?

Maul_T_Pass4059d ago

How else are you suppose to get 60GB of data to the user? Not everyone has a bluray drive in thier PC.

fr0sty4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

Exactly. PCs be laggin' behind the times. Like a v12 engine with a 5 gallon gas tank. If you have a 60gb game, you put it on blu-ray and make those without a bd drive download it or get with the times. My PC has 2 BD drives in it (a reader and a burner). They're only like $60-80 for a burner, readers are even cheaper.

Skate-AK4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

@Maul said the same thing I did.

Eiffel4059d ago

@fr0sty

We get it, you're insecure.

fr0sty4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

Not insecure at all. just not a blind fanboy who can't dare say anything negative about a PC. 7 discs sucks no matter how you cut it. You can't polish a turd, so stop trying.

Eiffel4059d ago

How is any of that even relevant to the article? You make it sound like physical is the only option available to PC gamers. Very few even buy physical anymore. Myself included: http://i.imgur.com/kpVNuCQ....

fr0sty4059d ago

I agree with you, I even downloaded my PS4 copy. That's my point, why bother with DVD at all, just offer BD and online. That way you don't have to deal with the customer service calls from users who lost or scratched a disc and think you owe them a replacement.

Army_of_Darkness4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

Frosty said it all folks. 7 disc??? Lmfao! Might as well use a floppy disc ;-)

On topic... Is it me, or is everyone obsessed with making any customizable character look like the Joker just for the sake of looking like the Joker?? But when it comes down to a game that features the Joker, no one really cares lol! Like injustice for example ;-)

arjman4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

As if seven discs is that big a deal for a one time install, it's highly unlikely you'll even need the discs to start the game (after installation).

Also you all know that the seven discs thing is just an option right? You can install from the discs or just download the game, as long as you have a key it's your choice. That means scratched discs won't be a problem.

It's the developers who choose whether or not the games go onto DVDs, Blurays or download. Most just don't find Bluray cost effective for PC when downloads and DVDs are available much cheaper, that's why my brand new PS3 GTA V cost £35 and my pre-ordered PC version only £18.

Fanboys are hilarious, no logic, no reasoning...Acting as if they are paid by these companies to hate on others, they're paying the companies for the chance to hate on other people...HILARIOUS.

hiredhelp4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

Ok lets Debunk this 7 disc problem.
Firstly its cheaper its universal as stated not everyone has a Blu ray reader so to support the masses dvd was the option However unless you go offline many games need to be downloaded via the servers making dvds pointless eaither way. So stop your bitching plus thoes who have consoles yes have blu ray you can thank sony for that but ask your self when had the 360 were you complaining then...
Fact is when you buy game on console you install from a disc on pc i can put in a seriel key code beguin download no discs needed.
Disagree with facts please do i find it funny. Edit swapping discs not that hard.

DillyDilly4059d ago

Shouldnt a single Blu-Ray carry that just fine ? Whats the point of Blu-Ray having all of that space if its not used correctly

Gonna suck when one of those 7 discs comes up missing and your OS has to be re-installed.

Disagrees: "No way, it'll be F'in awesome when I can't install my game because my kid brother got into my stuff and lost (or scratched, since DVDs lack the scratch resistant coating blu-ray discs have) a disc."

WeirdShroom4059d ago

Physical is a dying format. Accept it.

BellePelouse4059d ago

With that and the bloodborne version of joker, I hope that making the character becomes a benchmark for character customization in games!

I'm gonna try and make one in Black Desert when it goes out

RyujiDanma4059d ago

7 disc!!!??!?!?!?! lmao sh*t i wonder if they combine to make a pic when u line them up

memots4059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

Why is everyone talking about the 7 dvd disc? Its not even part of the article.

I know absolutely no one buying physical games on pc anymore. Its a non issue.

I personally think they should have released it on a Memory stick as they are very cheap and not every computer have even a DvdDisc drive anymore.

Krew_924059d ago (Edited 4059d ago )

Yeah I see only one other comment pertaining to the article's subject.

Comment sectioned derailed by stupidity. I mean what can you expect here?

BellePelouse4059d ago

at least i tried getting on subject

memots4058d ago

@Krew_92

Its been turning into that for the last couple of years. Everything and anything for trolling.

PlayStation Store’s top downloads of 2025

O'Dell Harmon Jr. writes: "Before we say goodbye to 2025, let’s take a look back and see what were the most downloaded games of the year. It was a great time for sports, shooters, and some new PlayStation VR2 games. Sports favorites topped the charts in US/Canada and EU, with NBA 2K26 and EA Sports FC26, respectively.

Juggernaut GTA V found a home in the top three for both regions, with new 2025 release Battlefield 6 claiming second place in the US. Fortnite took top place for free-to-play games, and Beat Saber continues its PS VR2 success."

FH5 4th in Europe compared to North America 14th. Not surprising.

LucasRuinedChildhood127d ago

I think it shows how shortsighted it was for Sony to let go of Evolution and not get them to make some sort of competitor (open world Driveclub?) 10 years ago.

bionicstar127d ago (Edited 127d ago )

its a hard bet to make. hindsight is always 20/20.

Christopher126d ago

After Driveclub's reception, hard to say it would have done well enough to compete. It's easy to dream of such a thing, but to make it happen? It's taken how long for CoD to be dethroned? And it was dethroned by Hogwart's Legacy and has gained it right back just the next year.

It’s funny to watch the only games EU and USA agree on was Minecraft and back ops 7 both regions on 6 and 7 spot respectively other than that FIFA rules EU

gold_drake126d ago

yeh, football is really popular here in europe ha

I would like to see a list that has both free to play and paid games together, but at least we have this.

To this day GTA5 is a top downloaded game and it makes me wonder if the industry is really ready for GTA6. I imagine almost nothing else will sell during that game's release window.

I’ve never played Fortnite GTAV or CoD BO7 but I do own GTAV for PS4/5 because I got them cheap.

gold_drake135d ago

i think we should either take those games out, or make a singleplayer list too ha

badboyz09135d ago

I still play gta V alot. The others nah.

Popsicle135d ago

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Tacoboto135d ago

What exactly are we not getting?

Did we not just have a 2025 filled with nice games like...

Silksong, Doom TDA, Expedition 33, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Ghost of Yotei, Dispatch, Split Fiction, Hades 2, DK Bananza, and so many more?

Popsicle134d ago

Agree that all you just posted are great games. Expedition 33 is one of my favorites. Spent a large chunk of time on BG3 in 2023. Another for my all-time list.

My point though not well articulated in the OG post is that we would get more of the games of the quality you mentioned if so many valuable resources were not allocated to FTP slop and/or heavy monetization schemes. Some of what used to be my favorite franchises have been ruined by them.

To sum it up, I would like to see games like 33 outperform the profits made by games like Fortnite so more resources are allocated to great games. When heavily monetized FTP games are at the top of the list, we end up being stuck with a significant chunk of games that are not good. Or worst case scenario games that spend years in development, but get cancelled due to industry trend chasing.

cloganart134d ago

Such a pessimistic view. This year gave so many good games.

Christopher134d ago

Popsicle, I actually think we're getting more great games because of the slop. Developers are seeing that people aren't happy and taking advantage of big AAA studios not delivering for people.

Popsicle134d ago (Edited 134d ago )

Perhaps, and I hope you’re right. A shift is needed IMO
