A new trailer for the outrageous satire of education, No Pineapple Left Behind, from Subaltern Games released today. You play the Principal and you have many jobs in the upcoming title. Balance budgets (even if that means a little fudging with the numbers), dealing with meddling parents, managing school staff, creating the curriculum. All of this has one point, to churn out the perfect student body who are ready to go out and conquer the world.

Boston area game dev studios Popcannibal, Ape Law, Owlchemy Labs, Dejobaan Games, Firehose Games, Snowrunner Productions, Kyle Seeley, Chris Chung, Terrible Posture Games, Subaltern Games, Retro Affect, and Harmoinix have teamed up to create an amazing bundle of games

No Pineapple Left Behind is a bizarre satirical title that's designed to emulate how modern school systems are run. It is of course immensely exaggerated and uses the odd reference to popular culture to describe things, but its closest likeness is that of Prison Architect.

Kailan May from BagoGames writes: Man, aren’t children… Aren’t they inefficient? They have feelings, they have dreams, and they have desires. This, in a setting as unforgiving, cruel, and mental-illness-inducing as the education system, will not do. What if something could be done with them to make sure they are efficient beings? Not robotise them, no, that would be too cold. Maybe something light hearted, something… Fruity?
…What if we could turn all children into pineapples?
