Dead Island 2 is supposed to release this spring. Look, it even says so on the game's Twitter page. But with just over 10 weeks of the season left, it's beginning to look unlikely that the game will hit its release window. So what's going on with it?

Award-winning adventures, cult classics and fan-favorite franchises discounted for a limited time.

On the heels of the 14th anniversary of Dead Island, developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver have released the first apparent teaser for Dead Island 3, or at least some sort of Dead Island 2 follow-up, which is seemingly already in active development or pre-production.

The Epic Games Store has a AAA Freebie this week, and another to put a smile on your face.
Dying Light happened;)
I really think that dying light made this game irrelevant.
The BETA was supposed to have been at the end of last year but still hasn't started so somethings clearly not ready or they may have taken on fan feedback and decided to change something drastic in the game as a lot of fans were not happy about the mmo style they were going for with no story. I actually would prefer that as theres plenty of games out there with story you can kill zombies and to be fair most are the same tired story. I just want to kill zombies with mates ina giant playground and thats what this game was supposed to be.
They say the game doesn't have a story you just kill zombies mindless and that they will release new objectives daily for your fun, really? no wonder the game is in shadows.
I agree with everyone here...Dying Light pretty much did everything Dead Island 2 would have done and better.
No point in bringing this game out if it will offer nothing new or different from Dying Light.
In my opinion they should either merge the universes together or just continue the Dying Light franchise.
