Yeah. And that whole Wii Music presentation was grating on my precious nerves. It didn't sound very musical, mostly just disjointed noise. Ugh!

Im sorry but anyone who expected Nintendos game to be mindblowing was in it for disappointment.

Just like MSs conference which was ultra boring and the only thing that made people snap was a PS3 game being announced for the 360. Bro, the facts dont lie. PS3 is still the hottest piece of gaming.

Think about it for a minute. If there was no FF13 announcement for 360 yesterday and it would have been showed in Sonys conference, it would have been "just another PS3 trailer". But now its shown for 360 and every major site went offline because millions of fans were either joying or speaking their disgrace.

This proves what exactly? That PS3 games are still the hottest and biggest franchises around even though certains fanboys will always deny it.

And in an hour or so, Sony is going to proof once again why they are the leading gaming console.

The only question remains however. Its Square Enix's moment of truth then. Will they redeem their selves or will they forever lose millions of fans with their betrayal.

Also, PS3 is clearly not the hottest thing right now since it's being outsold like mad by the Wii and just mildly outselling the 360. Plus, Wii is the only console that prints money. Come on!

A weak press conference doesn't mean the system is dead.

I would honestly say it was one of the funniest e3 conferences ever ! I cant stop laughing at the guy playing drums.

1. He looked like a complete fool
2. The drums were highly inaccurate and out of sync. You cant just shake your hands in the air and play drums. Its ridiculous

Because I rather have Tekken, FF, real GTA games and not spin offs, REAL resident evil games and not spin offs, Shadow 2, God of war 3, LBP, HOME and more. If thats what you call LOSING, then I rather have Sony lose, you idiot.

You need to get your facts straight. Nintendo might be selling the most at the moment, but as for redefining gaming, they have severely abandoned the not so casual gamer.

No, not everyone wants Sony games. YOU, and maybe a few million people, want Sony games. 20 million people though, they want Nintendo games. They're just not vocal about it on the Internet because they're casual, it doesn't matter to them whether or not their voice is heard.

Yeah, personally, I can't justify buying the system still. Still not enough strong games for my liking. I am a hardcore gamer, though, so the majority of Wii games just don't interest me. I'd love to play Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Brawl, Metroid, but 4 games won't sell a system for me.

Microsoft got XIII. Big deal. It's still coming out on PS3 first and it's still exclusive in Japan. Exclusive DLC announcement after exclusive DLC announcement. Where are their new exclusive games? Do they even have any? Where was Alan Wake?

I'm sure its great if you only own one machine, but its a multi plat game not exclusive - and those of us with all the machines will likely still buy it on the one disc.

Its not like a new game for most of us - I want something new god damn it!!!:) I've an inkling they will announce a halo title tonight after the Sony conference though - as a spoiler tactic. They need to, as thers no new core game announcements at all..

Yeah, Microsoft's conference wasn't anything amazing, though I wouldn't say it was bad. Bungie's announcement tomorrow is probably going to be the biggest thing for 360...if they don't change to multiplatform that is o_O

To be honest, I wasn't surprised that Nintendo didn't have that much exciting stuff because there was little to no hype at all surrounding Nintendo's E3.

If it wasn't for FFXIII Microsoft's press conference would have been pretty "meh", but the new additions to Live were O.k.

Sorry but, Sony is going to steal the show.

WHAT? It wasnt boring. The graphs and charts were boring, but what did you expect? Of course the Wii was going to show off their first place sales.

I loved the new Wii music theme and watching everyone play it. I hope theres some sort of online function for that where I can hit up music with my distant relatives who also have a Wii.

It was awfully boring. There was nothing new or interesting I learned outside of Voice Chat, which was cool, and the new Wii Sports game, which doesn't sound interesting at all to me. Disc throwing? Come on. They seriously missed big opportunities not showing any hardcore titles or some sort of external hard drive. It was lamer than the 360 conference, which is REALLY saying something.

No wonder nothing about their conference was leaked. There was nothing interesting TO leak.

They missed a big opportunity with this years conference...(aside from animal crossing)..out of all the great games they could of shown they show 3 mediocre titles.Where's my mh3 or fatal frame 4....I mean ..I guess some don't realize it,but there is a slew of great titles on the way.Sadly none were shown at the press conference...they could have really made an impact.Nintendo really frustrates me sometimes ...arrrgggh.

It's a shame that the only surprise was a new Animal Crossing. I had called that one back at the start of June. And for all of Nintendo's talk about reaching hardcore gamers, they really didn't put much up there that isn't going to be available elsewhere.

P.S. It's also a shame how the gamer zone has become "Sony will be more awesomer than Nintendo and M$ put together". Open Comments is the other tab.

they were meeting the needs of both casual and hardcore gamers alike. I failed to see what they meant by that, because what they showed were more Wii-"Who cares what its called, I'll only play it with my friends like 3 times, and when they leave, I'll place it back underneath my bed and go online with my Xbox 360/Playstation 3 for the rest of the evening!" Seriously, I though Wii music would have been better than what they showed. You can't even play a true song with those giant "balls" they call "hands." Nintendo I have a feeling has come in last place this E3. But I give them props for continuing to outsell the other platforms. Kudos!

i wont deny that the conference was probably one of the most boring hours of my life, but we should have seen this coming, most major sites were saying it prior to the conference, Nintendo was going all out on the mainstream crowd during the conference, but hopefully they will show the good stuff on the show floor and private rooms(once all the newspapers are gone), kind of what they did last year with smash.

I really hope this happens because people who actually have a wii and have been with nintendo know there are many great games coming and we are expecting to SEE them and not just hear that nintendo teams is working on games(what a shocker...)

Overall, worst CONFERENCE ever, hopefully the show overall will be at least decent.

BTW, biggest dissapointment other than no games showed was the fact that they showed no storage solution for the wii

Hardcore gamers suck anyway. That's not where the money is. I'd rather make money than pretend I'm interested some little game that a minority of the population is interested in. Yes on the Internet hardcore gamers are the majority, but in the real world, no, you don't matter that much.

You realize that the Wii's problem is that low software sales, right? And as for hardcore being a minority, I point to the 10 million or so sales Call of Duty 4 and GTA 4 made on the 360 and PS3. This demographic is not abstract.

Mausenheimmer, you do realize that not every one of those 10-million people who bought GTA or CoD were hardcore gamers. Word of mouth is spreading to the casuals about those games too, since video games are becoming more and more mainstream. Plenty of casuals picked that game up because "so many people are talking about it". People are weak, and they're stupid. They can't think for themselves, so if they hear that "so and so is gonna sell great and it's gonna be awesome", they'll start to think that and they'll buy it themselves.

So you can't judge how big the 'hardcore market' is by counting the total sales of any one video game, because those sales will definitely include purchases by casuals.

Or are you willing to acknowledge that while people have varied gaming libraries, most of the people who bought Call of Duty 4 or GTA, games not available on the Wii, were of the so-called hardcore demographic (read: the kind not necessarily interested in Animal Crossing)?

Yes, they mentioned that the teams responsible for Mario and Zelda were (separately) working on new titles. Since they didn't have anything concrete to announce about these titles at this time, they just glanced over them. I think it was early in the presentation, if you want to check it out for yourself.

You do realize that he's talking to more people when he's talking to casuals, right? When he talks to casuals, he's potentially talking to everyone who owns a TV, which is plenty more than the 'hardcore' crowd. And no, casuals are not just kids and women. There are plenty of adult males who are casuals, plenty of people who don't have to go online and self-hype up games for other gamers to make themselves feel better.

I can't wait for the day when people look down their nose at hardcore gamers, and see that it's funny because these people are way too dedicated to any one console/game.

Even if Reggie held up that list of games and a camera zoomed in on them I would have been a little happier. It's just disappointing for Nintendo to not even acknowledge these games.

I hear ya...that's exactly how I feel..I would have been fine if they would have just mentioned those titles.Alot of people don't realize the rather large list of serious games on the way for the wii.I assumed ninty would have at least shown some teaser trailers...even if it was ones we've already seen just to reassure us..that these core titles are on the way.I don't get nintendo ..sometimes...ok alot of times...it's really frustrating...cuz I know what they could of ..and should of done to make this years press conference have a bigger impact.The three.. third party titles they showed off were nowhere near the best outta what's to come.I mean come on nintendo ..rayman:raving rabids 2.....what were you thinking!

The only thing that I thought was remotely exciting is the WiiSpeak accessory coming out with Animal Crossing. I'm hoping that it will be incorporated into other games as well. Why couldn't this have been released earlier?? We could have had a way to talk while playing Super smash bros. brawl or Mario Kart Wii!

Gotta agree, THe GC had better games and I used it alot more. Many people I speak to use the Wii for the VC mostly or party games. If it is ina party atmosphere t works well, but aside form that you feel dumb playing it alone.

I love Nintendo...for the childhood memories, but ever since 64 they failed over and over again, which is why Square Soft ditched them back in the day, They did not want to use the cartridge format, and their games were like 60 a pop back then too.

Further more Nintendo will always sell out, that's a proven fact. Nintendo to games is like Disney to movies. Kids are amused easily, no matter what CGI movie comes out there is a flock of kids even if its bad, No matter what Nintendo do, the kids will come lol. Great concept you gotta love them for strategy.

I think I'd still buy one today if they made a Pokemon online that doesn't suck.

Nintendo did exactly what they needed to do and did exactly what there customers want. They focused on there market and told there market were they are headed and I think the games and motion plus are not being looked at for what they are. They are A) great if you have kids work, with kids, or anything kids. This device keeps kids at certain age level engaged with great healthy material. B) It reaches beyond that and includes mom, grandma, grandpa and me in to a experience with the kids we can all connect to quickly and have fun with. As far as the neg comments go lol. Get a grip I mean even the term Hardcore Gamer is a joke. Unless you play games for money or earn money for playing games nothing hardcore about it.
