Digital Foundry:
Last week, YouTube footage emerged showing that Grand Theft Auto 5's 1.08 patch for PS4 and Xbox One had seemingly downgraded elements of the visual presentation. Parallax occlusion mapping was gone, anisotropic texture filtering had apparently been made even worse than it was already, while collision physics had been simplified. On top of that, long distance pop-in also seemed to take a turn for the worst. Had Rockstar really released an update for the game that made GTA 5 significantly worse, not better?
Our schedule was too packed to take a look at it at the time, but the video clearly had an effect on the developer, who posted this message: "We are aware of some graphical issues on the Xbox One and PS4 versions of GTA 5 after the most recent Title Update, and we are investigating a fix now."

Take-Two Interactive revealed it is pausing development on its Nintendo Switch 2 edition of "Borderlands 4" in its latest quarterly earnings.

O'Dell Harmon Jr. writes: "Before we say goodbye to 2025, let’s take a look back and see what were the most downloaded games of the year. It was a great time for sports, shooters, and some new PlayStation VR2 games. Sports favorites topped the charts in US/Canada and EU, with NBA 2K26 and EA Sports FC26, respectively.
Juggernaut GTA V found a home in the top three for both regions, with new 2025 release Battlefield 6 claiming second place in the US. Fortnite took top place for free-to-play games, and Beat Saber continues its PS VR2 success."
It’s funny to watch the only games EU and USA agree on was Minecraft and back ops 7 both regions on 6 and 7 spot respectively other than that FIFA rules EU
I would like to see a list that has both free to play and paid games together, but at least we have this.
To this day GTA5 is a top downloaded game and it makes me wonder if the industry is really ready for GTA6. I imagine almost nothing else will sell during that game's release window.

Another night of Fortnite with the boys then?
I’ve never played Fortnite GTAV or CoD BO7 but I do own GTAV for PS4/5 because I got them cheap.
i think we should either take those games out, or make a singleplayer list too ha
We hope 1.10 version will be better.
So put POM back in the XB1 version.
If there is no noticeable difference to frame rates, but a drop in visual clarity, put it back in.
Before the recent patch, i was experiencing annoying bugs where my vehicle was invincible to damage, the hood, bumpers, doors fell off, and scratches appeared, but the vehicles would never dent, the recent update fixed that, but now there's a new issue, people are stating that whenever there's a lot going on, the game starts to lag really bad, and this just started after the recent update. Honestly, GTA online is a mess, they should've just stuck to the basics of mutiplayer, i had way more fun on gtaiv online, cops and crooks, hangmans noose, and free mode without coward mode (passive mode). What's even worse, is the fact that these updates are also affecting single player, SINGLE PLAYER, pathetic.
New patch, problem solved. Gamers have turned into a whiny bunch.
Omg i noticed on big different, guns are now shots better its sprays when you fire hip before bullets were hitting in one direction wich are really annoying
