(CriticalIndieGamer)When you look at Flump Studios’ games there’s a clear progression, from title to title. From the low price, high value Pester, through to last year’s math-shooter, Super Killer Hornet Resurrection, it’s plain to see that the one man studio from England is honing its craft. Studio owner, Paul Marrable, seems to have a thing for old school arcade shooters and his latest title Horizon Shift continues his affinity for the genre.
Flump Studios has invaded Steam with their exciting new take on the retro style shoot’em up genre with Horizon Shift, the explosive new wave based arcade and survival shooter offering loads of new platform elements and chaotic charm.

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:
Horizon Shift has some very interesting mechanics. Instead of flying around on a map trying to dodge incoming shots, you will instead be moving only from left to right on a horizontal line in the center of the screen. Imagine Space Invaders but you’re already halfway up there. This caused some fundamental changes in the way to approach each wave of enemies as there are only two real directions for you to go in.

"Horizon Shift is the arcade shooter developed by Flump Studios, and published by Kiss Ltd. In Horizon Shift, players control what looks like a rocket as they protect the horizon from being bombarded by space junk and enemy units. The game itself sports a rather interesting art style that really reinforces the arcade feel, while it also has this amazing soundtrack that looks like it’s designed to keep you entranced within the game. If this was released into arcades today, I’d probably drop hundreds of dollars into that arcade machine." - Attack On Gaming
