StarDrive 2 is a space strategy game notable for being nearly the sole creation of a man named Daniel DiCicco of Zer0Sum games, published by Iceberg Interactive. In a world with a glut of 4X games, it is refreshing to see one that is actually fun. The game makes little attempt to hide the fact it is a Master of Orion 2 clone, but it stays close to the game with some new ideas, and consequently looks to be a great title. StarDrive 2 is slated to be released April 9th.
Justin at Skewed and Reviewed looks at Star Drive 2 and liked what he saw. He enjoyed the mix of action and strategy, although he did have a few issues with the final game.

The first Stardrive was a great success and Stardrive 2 is following in it’s foot steps. 4X Strategy games can become monotonous very quickly especially as most do not have a story line or structure to follow. In its own rights 4x Strategy games is about freedom and building your empire your own way but there is something different from Stardrive 2. In the beginning it felt like any other 4x Strategy but the more I played and when I actually started grasping the way this game goes it kept drawing me in."
Not the easiest 4X introduction, but offers a unique option for those searching for an empire-builder.
