Not every game needs it but no way I'm complaining as long as it doesn't subtract from the main game.

For 75.00 CAD a game, I think it either needs to have 20hrs min of linear gameplay, or be an RPG or have online. Paying 75 for games like the order which you beat in under 10 hrs tgsn are done with it is an absolute joke. I'm seriously tired of price fixing in the the games industry, games should be priced based on content provided. Why do devs think every game is worthy of a premium price and why do so many gamers promote this bs and accept it with open wallets. We're not in the early 2000's anymore devs shouldn't be able to get away with movie length games with no online support for 75 bucks. Online is the future and has been for the last 10 years. You want to make a game under 10 hrs with no online fine with me just make it 49.99 because no matter how you justify it its not worth the same price as a game like witcher 3 or fallout 3 or any game with single player coop and multiplayer. Value should equal price. If anybody disagrees with me just look at the orders sales and tell me if it had online or coop or 20hrs gameplay it wouldn't have atleast double the sales.

I really do fear there is a significant push or focus on MP over SP in the gaming industry right now.

The recent negative reaction to The Order primarily because it was deemed too short and no MP for replay value has more or less support my argument. Despite the fact that The Oder has the best story sofar this gen for me it was overlooked mostly because it was deemed too short.

As such MP focused and open world games will be the focus going forward where devs will look at doing everything to increase playtime over everything else since playtime now is a big focus this gen.

As such it is not surprising we have not have any classic games this gen sofar. As a matter of fact many gamers are underwhelmed with games that have released sofar this gen.

Titanfall, Watch dogs, Destiny for example of the hyped games this gen sofar. What do all of them have in common?. A lack of good story or focus on SP. Contrast this to last gen to say Bioshock, Uncharted and Mass Effect when they came out early last gen. Classic games like others before them that are SP and story focused.

The day SP will no longer be the focus is the day we will not have any more classic games and will also be the day I will stop console gaming because console gaming will be just like casual gaming with not story or thought but just passing time and going through the motion.

If they can add a good multiplayer onto a game then they should as its a big plus, if it's just a crap thing stuck on to fill a tick box then they shouldn't bother. Same with multiplayer games if they can do a good single player addon then great, if not just stick to the multiplayer and make it the best it can possibly be.

Broken at launch is usually because of online multiplayer. Online players often don't play as intended and ruin the game experience. Downed servers make games unplayable. It has its place, but doesn't belong in every game

I love when gamers scream no but turn around and sale that sp only game as soon as they're done with it. How times are you going to replay the order before you get trade it in.

No not every game, but I'll be damn if i spend more than $60 bucks for a one time deal, might as well rent it, which is exactly what many are doing nowadays.

So yes, for the most part, Unless your game is an open world rpg with multiple endings that can provide HUNDREDS of hours of entertainment. And im not talking worthless fetch quest after another to pad it skyrim.

Here's another point, what's the rush to buy your game at release when i can get a better experience and cheaper price months later after all the inevitable patches?

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.

Wuchang is great. Nine Sols didn’t have a physical copy so I never played it but I’ve heard good things so I will check it out. I stopped playing sports games many years ago when before the card dlc’s or whatever they’re called.
