Ubisoft Needs to Make Things Right With The Division

SegmentNext - 2014 saw the release of two Assassin’s Creed titles, one for current-gen and another for last-gen. However, in its pursuit to deliver both games on time, Assassin’s Creed: Unity turned out to be a poorly optimized title.

They seriously need to get rid of that Ubisoft formula. It makes every single IP of theirs look similar.

And The Division should have Offline mode. They are shutting many people out by doing that.

"And The Division should have Offline mode. They are shutting many people out by doing that."

Yeah and Gran Turismo should have a non racing mode for those who don't like racing games /s

Division is supposed to be an MMO and I want them to take full advantage of the benefits that online brings. For those who don't like online experiences, that's cool, just move on and play something different. Of course I could eat my own words and it could turn out into Destiny which is a glorified coop game but I really want Ubi to see their vision through and hopefully learn from Bungie's mistakes and create a compelling blend of shooter and mmo.

Its a MMO you cant go offline.

A massively multiplayer online game (also called MMO and MMOG) is a multiplayer video game which is capable of supporting large numbers of players simultaneously. By necessity, they are played on the Internet.

Facepalm thoes not buying it if needs be online only.

I know, the hypocrisy is hilarious. So many on here are calling out for artistic integrity, letting game developers see their vision through and create the game they want to and yet there are those moaning when they decide to make an online only game.

So now it's always online? LOL

No thanks.

"What could go wrong?" - Ubisoft

Let me tell you...

weirdo4097d ago

Think I'll pass if there is no offline mode.

pompombrum4097d ago

This logic is flawed on so many levels that it's just sad. What's wrong with an online game if it fully takes advantage of the benefits that a huge connected world can bring? Granted I'd understand people passing if it's like Sim City or Diablo 3 where both could have easily worked with offline modes but essentially asking for an offline mmo is stupid.

I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.

Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.

But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.
