Turtle Rock’s 4 v 1 multiplayer had a controversial release, mainly down to the sheer amount of launch day DLC on offer. The game has since struggled to maintain a strong online presence. GAME are currently selling Evolve for £29.99, complete with the much criticized pre-order DLC.

It has been recently revealed by an artist that a sequel to the 2015 title Evolve was in the works. However, this project wouldn't last long.
Was this game ahead of its time? A few years later games like Dead By Daylight, Friday the 13th and other asymmetrical games exploded onto the scene.

Back in 2016, Turtle Rock announced that support for its 4v1 monster-hunting shooter Evolve would end but fans wouldn't let it die.

From NME: "Evolve: Stage 2 had its multiplayer servers shut down back in 2018, but today players are once again able to matchmake and join peer-to-peer multiplayer games.
Several months ago, peer-to-peer functionality was lost for Evolve Legacy, which was the only way fans of the series could play with friends. Upon a multitude of players reaching out to publisher 2K, the issue was eventually fixed earlier in July. It seems 2K have gone a step further now, and reinstated peer-to-peer and matchmaking functionality for Evolve: Stage 2 after four years."
Price should have been slashed at launch. It maybe to late with the bad pub surrounding evolves dlc fiasco which 2b honest didnt bother me cause its skins not gameplay hidden behind a paywall.. Oh and yes i do own it and it is a fun game but like Titanfall i feel it should have launch at $45 not $60
Even at that price I still wont give this game a try, the concept the game is based upon to me just seems repetitive and after 1 or two games I will be done with it.
That's a fairly nice price for it imo. Can't say I'd have paid the full retail for it at launch but that's just me. I'm glad many people are enjoying Evolve, hopefully I'll pick it up one day :)
i wouldn't play this even if it was free. the beta and alpha were awful and gameplay was beyond average and got boring real fast. this game deserves to flop just to teach Take Two a lesson.
If this game was free to play, I think it wouldve been very successful.
