Marcus Estrada writes: "Neptune, Have Mercy looked like a pretty sweet campaign when it launched in February. Unfortunately, among a ton of equally-excellent campaigns it failed to generate enough Kickstarter funds to succeed.
This week developer Octopodo released an update letting fans know Neptune, Have Mercy isn't dead."

While some are always going to have that massive fan push behind them to see hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding others barely make it to the finish line. Due to the nature of Kickstarter, there's simply not enough money to go around to fund every worthwhile campaign. The purpose of this post is to shine a light on those campaigns that had the chops for success, but for one reason or another failed to make their goal this time."
Neptune, Have Mercy takes place in the submerged ocean of Neptune’s moon Triton, and you’ve got an upgradeable submarine to explore its 2D procedurally-generated side-view caverns, catalog the creatures that live there, and fight off the ones that view you as a tasty snack.
