Hard to believe the 360 is having it's 10th birthday this year. It's nice to see Microsoft still supporting the console this long. Complete opposite of the original Xbox.

That's because Microsoft controls the manufacture of the 360 unlike the original Xbox. Nvidia made key chips for the original and stopped making them in 2006. So it was a done deal after that, there was only going to be a finite number of Xboxs.

Besides, all original Xbox games were playable on Xbox LIVE up to 2010.

That comment would be valid if he was talking about continuing manufacture of the original x box, but he was highlighting MS supporting the platform.

But they didn't, they dropped it to concentrate on the 360 leaving buyers with a perfectly good hardware with no games coming out for it.

It's not that Nvidia quit making the chip, Microsoft's contract didn't allow for them to have costs reduced over time as manufacturing became cheaper. This is why Microsoft moved to AMD for future projects.

Weird, thought the 360 had a preview program before, I remember being on a preview program. Maybe I'm crazy.

It did, mainly for when there were significant updates coming like the NXE and other dashboard changes.

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
