I think i will wait this one out until E3. I dont want to hype myself for nothing.

lol, your right but as a huge Bethesda fan...let me drop some knowledge on you.

Fallout 3 was officially announced at E3 2008, released fall....2008.

Skyrim..announced Dec 2010, released fall 2011.

Bethesda is rarely at E3, they didn't even announce Skyrim at E3...

BUT.....they did announce Fallout 3 at E3 officially. I feel indeed Fallout 4 will not only get announced at E3, but will get released shortly after as its they've done before.

Fallout 3 took about close to 4 years to complete, If they've been working on Fallout 4 since Skyrim's completion ie 2011, it would mean that Fallout 4 would have almost the exact amount of time in development as Fallout 3 did.

Its very much feasible that Fallout 4 is getting released this fall.

Also consider the tools give this gen are much easier then last gens.

to help bolster your comment, while skyrim wasn't revealed at E3 2011, the first gameplay footage was. (i remember i watched it 1000 times) then it came out november that year.

so yep all signs pointing....

You make some good points and I would love to see fallout release soon after E3 I just don't see it happening though. I just think we would have heard or seen allot more of the game by now. Also I feel being on current gen means it could be much bigger in scope needing more time.

Father__Merrin4016d ago

fallout 4 would be excellent if itvhad a fall release

Rob_Ko4016d ago

I could make that prediction too

Huge Bethesda fan, Fallout and Elder Scrolls are two of my favourite franchise. I have high hopes Fallout 4, good news also that 100% of their focus is on current gen. I'm also interested to know what engine their using hope it's either a complete rebuild of their "Creation" engine or possibly UE4.

Avernus4016d ago

The memories of Fallout 3...my favorite game of all time. I hope they use a different engine though, Gamebryo didn't really work well IMO. Too many bugs / glitches.

TheBurger294015d ago

Definitely need new engine too get away from old glitches and bugs! Also the combat is waaaayyyy too clunky.

Randostar4015d ago

I have no doubt that Fallout 4 will be Current gen and PC only.
Bethesda is on top of it.

They need to look at Morrowind and see what the progression should have been from there instead of the regression we got with the next 2 games. They weren’t horrible games but they could have been so much more.

-Foxtrot109d ago

Fallout 4 just felt too streamlined and accessible to me, the perk system was not as fun as it was in Fallout 3, not saying Fallout 3 didn't have issues but 4 just felt like a complete step back.

mastershredder109d ago

So the part where you just sold the same games for the last 10 years while you focused on 76 and merch, was not a reset from the "creative" aspect eh? How very Todd of you.

I bought Fallout 4 (I loved Fallout 3) at launch and I couldn't bring myself to finish it or even get close to finishing it. It was soooo damned boring and bland. I played on a very hard difficulty and I had hundreds of stimpaks. One of the only games I've played for a while and not ended up finishing it. I hated it. Just flat out hated it.
