Bit-Tech has gathered together the usual suspects of recent graphics cards, as well as the four new arrivals – Nvidia's GeForce GTX 280 and 260 and ATI's Radeon HD 4870 and HD 4850, and tested them in some of the most popular and graphically demanding games currently available, at varied high quality settings and resolutions.
They did this in order to finally answer the pressing questions of modern graphics card performance: which card now sits atop the performance pile? Which holds the mid range performance crown? And most importantly, which should you spend your hard earned cash on?

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
Another excellent article by bit-tech.
I wanna fetch the 4870 but I hear it gets hot and runs a bit loud. Maybe liquid cooling would be a good solution
While the ATi cards are superior, no doubt, I wouldn't cry foul on nVIDIA for the 9800 GTX just yet. I got one for about 200 dollars off of Newegg a few weeks ago and have it OC'd to 800MHz. That's 125MHz faster than the factory set clock speed and running Crysis in 1680x1050 with 4xAA turned on I get a near constant 28FPS, which is very playable for those of you who know what I'm talking about. Now about value and performance. I got my 9800 GTX before I had heard of the ATi 4850 and 4870. Had I known about them I most likely would've gone with the 4870. That being said, the great cooling design of the 9800 lets me run my card as fast as I do and even running Crysis at said levels it never gets above 60 degrees maximum.
