I take some of the most anticipated hits from games announced so far from each of the top 3 publishers and compare the publishers offerings for the year.

Insider Gaming - "Ubisoft has cancelled yet another game, this time ending development on the Animal Crossing-inspired title Alterra."

HALIFAX (April 14, 2026) – Laid-off Ubisoft workers in Halifax have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a settlement with the video-game giant. The terms of the settlement, including the compensation employees will receive, is confidential.
I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.
Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.
But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.

Two-day event includes exclusive reveals, trailers and playable games on show floor.
if Fallout is announced, then Bethesda is winning, FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!
I'm inclined to agree with PeaSfor, about Bethesda, but if we are just talking about the big three I'd say EA's lineup actually appeals to me the most (Mirrors Edge 2, Battlefeild Hardline, Star Wars Battlefront 3)
Ubisoft would come in second due to Rainbow Six Seige (and the Division to some extent, but it remains to be seen if that will be another WatchDogs)
and last would Activision, because I have little interest in the past 2-4 Call of Duty games. (except Black Ops 2 - Treyarch still makes em right) Little Interest in Overwatch. Little interest in Guitar Hero anymore. and little interest in Tony Hawk (unless they came recapture the spirit of the first few titles)
With Ubisoft, I'm somewhat excited about Rainbow Six Siege. But with RS Siege, I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't just expand on the Rainbow Six Vegas formula. I still love to play RSV2 on PC and PS3 once in a while....such a great game.
Treyarch might bring Call of Duty back into focus, with a proper Zombie mode hopefully, but this is all that I expect from Activision.
EA could potentially announce Titanfall 2, which would be a great thing, and hopefully we'll see some news on the Star Wars games that they are working on.
Overall though, I'm not all that excited for anything right now.
If Fallout 4 is announced than all other games will be irrelevant.
Not since maybe Half Life 3 has there been a game so hotly anticipated from a large number of gamers.
I really hope they announce that title at this year's E3.
For me, Ubi has the best potential line up in The Division and Rainbow Six. Both seem to be looking to actually offer a different experience to the stereotypical shooter formula that has all but sapped away my interest in the genre. If they get them right, the year will be theirs in my eyes.
In terms of sales, it will be Activision Blizzard who comes out on top. With this year's Call of Duty being from Treyarch, I'm expecting something special and reckon they'll sell more copies of that than Hardline, Battlefront and Mirror's Edge 2 combined. Overwatch also has monster potential going by what has been shown but I'd be surprised if it's fully released this year.
