this is crazy because i just started reading Ready Player One a few days ago and it involves this stuff. and in one day (today) ive come across two atricles about two different huge advancements used in the book that may become a reality in the near future. this, and the other being the the crowd-funded VR-recreation of Manhattan to be used by anyone for free (article is probably in Pending section atm).
