Neverwinter is coming to Xbox One for free to anyone with a Xbox Live Gold membership this March 31st with everything up to Tyranny of Dragons.

Cryptic Studios announced with a press release that more of its veteran developers have returned to the studio following tenures elsewhere.

The MMO studio says it’s “unifying legacy expertise with fresh perspectives”
"Cryptic Studios and Gearbox Publishing are today very happy and excited to announce that "Neverwinter: Menzoberranzan" (Neverwinter’s 25th module) is now available for PC (via Steam), Xbox (via the Microsoft, and Playstation via digital stores (as announced at Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeons & Dragons Direct 2023 showcase)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
It's for that online game, correct? I always wanted to see the drows home from Drizzt's books, I've read those years ago, but I never could fully imagine it from text alone. Looks a bit bright compared to what I remember how it was described, but I'm guessing that's for gameplay reasons.
I always liked Neverwinter Nights, the old school PC games. Will definitely have to try this game out.
It will be fun to try out. I was a little concerned about the micro transactions but people who have played it say it's really just cosmetic stuff and that you can get all the gear without them in the dungeons.
The beta was very good and using the controller was very natural feeling, it's not the best mmo but it is decent. Now we just need the real good pc mmos to jump to consoles.
I was wondering how Xbox would counter Bloodborne, a free mmo RPG is a good way to do it.
I feel like I'll get to addicted to it.
