I always thought the Batman system was weird to play, like it you're fighting in Jello or something thick. I certainly wouldn't call it fluid. If you want a fluid combat system, then you should play a game like DMC 3 / 4 in Turbo mode.

The batman system, I felt like I was playing a closed system, like Assassins Creed, where the game shifts into a small square with you and the enemies. I don't really like that, I prefer open systems, like GTA V, or Skyrim.

It is not Fricking Batman to begin with. Where would we be if every damn game had the same combat system. Besides batman did not appeal to everyone.

Saijahn4118d ago

thank you. the witcher has it's own style of strategic combat.

Unspoken4118d ago

Batman's combat was severely lacking. I'm glad they aren't similar.

dafegamer4118d ago

batmans combat is one of the best of last generation. "Severely lacking" lol that's why many games tried to copy it this and last generation.

InTheLab4118d ago

As opposed to the Witcher 2's broken combat?

Kumomeme4117d ago

batman combat great...wicher 2 combat is lacking...

cant say much from gameplay video until we hold the controller itself

dont put hope much on witcher 3's combat...they said they fix it...but you know...hype all over the way...

Unspoken4116d ago (Edited 4116d ago )

I enjoyed The Witcher 2's combat mechanics. I was surprised they had to dumb it down because it was too difficult for players.

Batman has the simplest fighting combinations I've seen in a game. I'd rate it with Ryse, but Ryse's combat animations made the simplistic button variation satisfying. There are barely any variations and it is like the game does everything for the player.

After playing the first one in the series I was quite done with watching the over the top clumsy movement the devs gave him. He was trained by an order of ninja, make him move like one.

If any game "copied" it, it was also refined in those games. Shadows of Mordor had basic button combinations but the game made up for it in its difficulty with overwhelming numbers and avenues of attack.

Exactly. I just the Witcher combat refined, and continued difficulty throughout.

It's an RPG vs a Beat em' up, of course It'll be different.

XanderZane4118d ago

Hhhmmm.. this doesn't sound good.

"They also wrote about graphics: editorial staff tried the PS4 and Xbox One versions, where they found some crashes, for this reason they considered the postponed release date (May 19) a right decision."

Does this mean it's getting delayed again? I'm dying to play this game, but I want it to be perfect. They've taken this long to get it done. I can wait another month or two if there are still bugs to be fixed.

Baka-akaB4118d ago

No they are saying it's a good thing it was delayed that one time .

Christ almighty, if you want batman's combat system go play batman.

The actor who portrayed Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher series of games has died

Alexander Morton, the Scottish actor probably best known for starring in British comedy drama Monarch of the Glen - but known to me for being the hilariously foul-mouthed dwarf Zoltan Chivay in The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3 - has died aged 81.

Cause they play NBA2k26, COD and gamepass

3x less sales than Playstation.
3x less consoles sold than Playstation.

Per captita, it averages out that the same number of users are buying CDP games regardless of platform, no?

Bathyj71d ago

The exact same or possibly more because a series S, initial investment and effort to Port to Xbox consoles for a third of the return.

Simply not worth it

LMGk71d ago

“ Simply not worth it”

And yet, basically every game comes to Xbox.

NotoriousWhiz70d ago (Edited 70d ago )

A third is a pretty big number to be honest. Like would you rather make 15 million or 20 million? That's the difference that a third makes.

GamingSinceForever71d ago

Hey it’s ok. They are really impressed with XBOx’s new CEO so exclusivity is on the way. 😂

Loktai71d ago

Ok but I mean be logical ... modern PC, Switch, PS4 PS5 then you have XBOX, of all of those XBOX is probably only 10 percent... I mean, what do you expect? 10 percent increase in sales is still nothing to sneeze at, remember - this is CD projekt red and they sell a lot of software. 10 percent of their sales is probably what most studios DREAM of selling .... just playing devils advocate..... its easy to say LOL haha XBOX.... but.. I mean we know what it is at this point. I havent bought on since my xbox one X and before that I only used other peoples xboxes since the OG XBOX and stick with PC and Playstation and switch OLED, but .. I mean.... theres nothing WRONG with an xbox considering its just not the best - but they work fine. make no mistake.
