I'd like to see a larger focus on user generated content in Nintendo games in the future, I hope Mario Maker is as deep as it looks. As deep as little big planet's editor would be great, but I don't think Nintendo would go that far.

I'll just be happy if Nintendo can figure out more, better, rewards for Amiibos across their many games, per figure.
Especially if they can figure out some really good basic rewards for off-series Amiibo usage, like using a Shulk Amiibo on Zelda U.

I just wished they would make the amiibos more easy to find. If it's part of their long term strategy and so many games will support amiibos then making them as widely available is pretty important. In fact there are two character trophies for each character in Smash. Why don't they make a 2nd series based off that 2nd set? Release the other 6 Villager figures and all 7 koopa kid figures as well. For the collector's that would be another 60+ figures to collect.

They sold 6 Million + Amiibo's.....

I'm guessing they thought that supply would be enough.

It obviously wasn't, but it's not like they shorted them.

6 Million is a lot of any item to distribute.

User generated content is pretty awesome in my opinion. I remember having countless hours of fun with LBP.

U.S. patent examiner rejects Nintendo’s summoning characters patent as obvious: non-final ruling

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).

Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.

Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.
