honestly i feel like the story about this games development will be more interesting then the game itself.

The Last Guardian is one of the strangest IP's I've ever seen. The fact that Sony told Studio Japan to work on releasing the puppeteer, rain, and Knack over the last guardian was strange. Add in the fact that Team Ico has been developing this for almost a decade and we haven't seen concept art or anything since that E3 reveal just makes me wonder what's going on with the IP. I heard years ago that journalists that consisted of Ryan Clements, A journalist from kotaku, and a few other Japanese journalists saw the game running in a chapter. Idk how the game went from that to never being heard or seen.

Either way Sony insists the game is being retooled for PS4. Team Ico is a legit top 10 dev in the business, so the game will be good. I doubt it will sell great since both ICO and SOTC didn't sell that well on a 100 million+ install base, but critically it will be acclaimed. I think once the game is released Sony should release a documentary on the making of the game. Plus I want Ueda to make that first person shooter he's been talking about.

I think that games is a lose-lose situation if it's released or cancelled. After so many years the expectations aren't exactly small when you have a studio work so long on something.

All around disappointment would be it getting canceled after all this time.

Second worse would be it not living up to its claims. The AI just being horrible.

I gave up on this game happening when I bought my Ps4. You know since they promised me this game on the Ps3. Thank god for Bloodborne.

The art direction of the last guardian seems to be geared toward Japanese taste. They like weird looking mystical creature and demonic looking monsters in a horror film/game.

The shadow of the colossus art direction seems to geared toward a more wider range of ethnic audience.

TLG seems to be a game project that is done with honor. I believe ICO are going to put their heart and soul in to this project that its going to make Japanese gamers cry with joy.

I'm willing to bet TLG is going to have a very dramatic storyline.

Now, don't get me worng, that doesn't mean other cultures won't get in it this game when it comes out. Time will tell.

Lol... this game took about 9 years to release. It actually took a whole generation. Better late than never i guess.

like others in the comments, this is one of those rare games that stuck with me. The originality, the sound track, the bonding with the animal (especially if you've ever owned a pet before)

ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, will always have a special place in my heart! Wish there will be more games like that.

It should have been. Its a great concept but controlling that creature was a hassle and took away from the enjoyment of the story. So much focus on getting it to do what you need it to do. Couldn't even finish it unfortunately and I bought the digital and collectors editions.

Both of those Infamous games are definitely fun, just too short.
