That sucks. Oh well it's a busy time for games now anyway with Bloodborn next month and if it means it will be more polished go for it.

Clunkyd4106d ago (Edited 4106d ago )

Wait, why isn't there any damage controlling, fanboy wars, trolling.....oh wait, this isn't exclusive to a platform.

NuggetsOfGod4105d ago (Edited 4105d ago )

The wiiU version destroys ps4 and out performs pc.

There u go..

Lol I am sure some will take that seriously.

Clunkyd4105d ago

@Nuggets

Judging by the stupidity of your previous comments, I dont blame them.

ShinMaster4105d ago

What are you, new?
If there are to be any fanboy comments surrounding this game will come from the PC camp.

MysticStrummer4105d ago

Don't worry Nuggets, the only one who takes you seriously is you.

@Clunky - Agreed x 1000

Dee_914105d ago

I've been waiting on this game since 2012.Well nothing to do but wait it out. What's another couple of weeks anyways right?

*screams into pillow

UltraNova4105d ago

Hmm at this rate they'll release the damn game with GT7...

SolidStoner4105d ago

naah.. GT7 will take some time.. I think we will see it this E3 2015.. and it will release in 2016.. project cars must be in my hands at least after 4 months... there are no new driving games with decent physics.. so Im in desperate need for Project cars.. everything else is overplayed :D need something fresh!

Apirl 2nd is new realease date

SoapShoes4105d ago

Not much of a delay if you ask me and much better than having to release it on schedule like ass creed.

styferion4105d ago

April 1st is reserved for Half-Life 3 and The Last Guardian release date

TeamVVV4106d ago

I feared this would happen :( but it is for the best I guess.

nerdeu4105d ago

It's always for the best. I'm glad some developers are making effort to NOT release broken games. This company has my respect.

Volkama4105d ago (Edited 4105d ago )

Videogames. Surely the only industry where failing to meet a key project deadline is considered a badge of honour.

mcstorm4105d ago

I do agree with you but I just have a feeling this game may end up being like GT5 was. I hope not but I think I may hold back before I get this game. They also need to becarful not to put it back too much that Forza 6 and GT7 come out around the same time and also if it gets pushed back any more people may lose interest in the game. Only time will tell though.

You won the Internet today!

GMW4105d ago

After the Driveclub release complaints, I'm not surprised anyone else is not delaying their games until they really believe it's really ready to go. 😄 Anyway, Driveclub is still the game that keeps on giving. So I am still good for a while as I await the arrival of Project Cars and eventually GT7!

weirdo4106d ago

it'll be worth the small wait - really excited for this game...

rockNrolf4106d ago

Oh no! Maybe the devs should actually make the game instead of just posting videos like "ooh, omg look at our game running on 60fps on 4K ultra Super Hyper Dev kit PC turbo HD in rain vs this crappy F1 Grand Prix game on Game Boy" every week. Just saying... Smells like Watch_dogs in here.

reallyNow4106d ago

do you for one second really believe the guy pushing the social media updates is the same guy writing code for the game? they probably dont even talk to each other.

Forn4106d ago

I agree. Remember, these are the same guys who made NFS Shift...

deaddragonz4105d ago

I kind of liked Shift, but I kind of didnt. I still miss NFS Underground/2.

orakle444105d ago

Yea, no. This game is available to play, and has been for the past 2 years basically. If you were an early adopter you can play the current builds of the game. Soooooo, most of the videos/screenshots of the game are from regular people, that have access to the game. People really need to do a little research before posting.

I have a middle of the road gaming PC and this game really does look fantastic.

The rise and fall of Project CARS

With exclusive insight from Slightly Mad Studios co-founder Ian Bell, we dive into the tumultuous history of Project CARS.

TheColbertinator242d ago

The 3rd one just pushed me away forever.

GamingExplained101242d ago

The third one was the best racing game in years. You can make it as realistic or arcade as you like, with tons of options to meet the performance points for each race. The graphics were great on PS5, running at 60 FPS 1440p on quality mode, it was certainly good enough. It was a lot like the Forza games, just more flexible in its sim and arcade options to cater the game to how you wanted to play, it's absolutely criminal how this game was trashed by losers who didn't get it and wanted to hate on it.

Why did EA Kill Project CARS?

This video explains why we think Electronic Arts didn't see a future in the sim racing title Project CARS and promptly cancelled the fourth instalment.

Jin_Sakai1282d ago

After the last installment I’d say most hardcore fans left. It’s just not that good anymore so I can’t really blame EA this time.

masterfox1282d ago

because it was always a project and it never got finished :D

ChubbyBlade1280d ago

Every game is a project. Your joke doesn’t make sense

InUrFoxHole1280d ago

It makes perfect sense. It's obviously a play on the title. Jesus christ you must be a blast at parties.

ApocalypseShadow1281d ago (Edited 1281d ago )

Ask Bullfrog or Black Box or Tiburon or Studio 33 or Criterion or any of the previously acquired developers who made racing games as competition, or as developers of EA games, then eventually dissolved into oblivion or reassigned. Just ask them. They'll tell you why.

ApocalypseShadow1280d ago

Oh. I forgot. Even Code Masters were absorbed into Criterion. Another racing developer EA took over.

Every racing developer either absorbed by EA or eventually destroyed by them. They either kill competition or have them in the end make Need 4 Speed for them.

MadLad1280d ago

EA only cancels projects for one reason.
They didn't see enough money in it.

Kombatologist1280d ago (Edited 1280d ago )

Not when it's because it didn't meet some crazy margin. It's like if something doesn't make EA a billion dollars on day one (I'm exaggerating that figure of course), they swiftly put it out to pasture.

SurgicalMenace1280d ago (Edited 1280d ago )

Much like if you're spending money on what's a bad investment for your desired goals, you'd do away with it, if you're wise. We should try to get away from thinking we know more about business than individuals that have been doing it for decades. Perhaps you could benefit from going into business instead of wasting all of your talents in comment sections. It's clear that you're the missing piece that EA's been looking for.

MadLad1279d ago

I've made a good amount of money betting on underdog investments over the years.

EA sets unrealistic expectations of their more niche developers, yet continue to fund absolute blunders like DICE and the Battlefield series year after year.

dumahim1280d ago

EA butted in and messed with the formula and act shocked when it doesn't work out.

Original Project CARS creator trying to re-hire EA team

Ian Bell, the founder of Slightly Mad Studios, is aiming to hire former Project CARS employees to work on his upcoming GTR Revival project.

Sgt_Slaughter1284d ago

If it's just going to be another sim-cade that doesn't do either one correctly then no thanks.

Project CARS 2 was a step in the right direction but the physics still aren't where they should have been, so what did they do for PC3? Go completely arcade. That killed the franchise.
