Destiny: Beat this weeks Nightfall with ease

Here is this weeks Nightfall Strike Walkthrough. This weeks Nightfall is Omnigul and the modifiers are:

Nightfall – If all players die, you will be returned to orbit.
Epic – Heavily shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers.
Angry – Minions of the Darkness won’t flinch, even after massive damage
Juggler – No ammo drop for your equipped weapon
LightSwitch - Minions of the Darkness deal much more melee damage.

It's the Omnigul strike with no burn? Ouch!

JimmyHACK4106d ago

It will just take a little longer, but we won't die as fast from all the normal Arc burn. Easy stuff.

ABMN4106d ago

On paper it is easy. But everything takes SOOOO LONG to die. And if you make a mistake, lightswitch Will set you back to orbit.

GameSpawn4106d ago

Burns can help if you have the weapons that match too. I personally hate Juggler (on ANY weekly or daily). I tend to forget about Juggler until I'm running ludicrously low on Primary ammo.

As of late I have been heavy on an Auto Rifle/Fusion Rifle/Machine Gun combo (specifically Up for Anything [331], Murmur [331 alternating Arc/Solar, Arc most of the time though], and Super Good Advice [331 Solar]). My armor also gives me reload and ammo bonuses for Auto Rifles and Fusion Rifles and any Heavy weapon.

Christopher4106d ago

@GameSpawn find yourself one of the uncommon (green) primary or secondary weapons that allows you to pick up ammo when you shoot it. Helps a ton with strikes like this so you don't have to run out to pick up ammo.

GameSpawn4106d ago

@Chris

In a pinch I just burn all my ammo. If you empty all your guns the game respawns all your ammo types partially (30%-50% capacity depending on Primary, Secondary, Heavy) after about 10 seconds of no ammo at all. If you ever see anyone shooting into nothing for no reason, this is what they are doing.

I wish I had Icebreaker, as it really helps on Juggler missions because you are not dependent on Secondary ammo and using it gens Primary ammo from drops.

Christopher4106d ago

@gamespawn: not sure that works on juggler. It hasn't in the past for me.

GameSpawn4106d ago (Edited 4106d ago )

So long as your other weapons are not full, using a Primary causes enemies to drop Secondary and Heavy ammo (Secondary - Primary and Heavy; Heavy - Primary and Secondary), though only the bigger enemies like Wizards, Knights, Shanks, Minotaurs and such will drop heavy ammo (barred you are using a Primary or Secondary with Juggler).

As for burning all ammo...this ALWAYS works (Nightfall, Heroic, Juggler, Burns, normal missions, Patrol, doesn't matter). It is a safety built into the game if you run out of ammo and all the spare ammo boxes that spawned have been picked up (by other players) or you've move on to an area where none have dropped yet. You just need to wait an absurdly long time (especially if you are under fire - it feels like an eternity) without any ammo in ALL of your guns. I've had to use it multiple times before (especially taking out the Tank (the one that spawns in the Strike area) while on patrol in the Cosmodrome all by myself when I was just past level 20 and only owned 1 Legendary). I also did it once during the Omnigul Heroic Strike solo (my proudest accomplishment to date).

Yeah. An annoyance. I'm sure to be completely happy when I get more ascendant energy or strange coins from this rather than anything of value like others. Yay! /s

InTheLab4106d ago

I really hate this one. Wasn't it the weekly heroic like 2 weeks ago? Would it kill Bungie to create a new strike every now and then?

martinezjesus19934106d ago

They alternate. One old then omnigul

TimeSkipLuffy4106d ago

They want to sell more DLCs. That is why this Strike is appearing frequently.

theDivision4106d ago

If they gave it to us without us paying for it yes it would.

ABMN4106d ago

Yes. It was the nightfall for 1/17/15. Just 3 weeks ago. I guess bungie wants to sell more DLC's

NEO_X4106d ago

I feel like I just did this one. They need to change it up some man.

Its a long and yet annoying week of Nightfall.

ABMN4106d ago

The no burn does make this one quiet a bit longer than normal.

NEO_X4106d ago

It took me and my for eye am almost an hour to complete. And then I got 9 strange coins. I hate you bungie

Doja4106d ago

1 fang for her arc shield and 2 abyss defiants and my buddies and I beat this nightfall in a little over 30 minutes...all for a legendary shotgun. Almost makes me wish I got 9 strange coins again.

He paid billions for Starfield. This should be the real story.

Microsoft bought all of Zenimax Media for 7 billion, while Sony paid 4 billion for Bungie. I think Microsoft got the better deal due to acquiring Fallout, ElderScrolls and Doom.

621d ago
anast621d ago

This can't be true. They only bought Starfield...

@anast
Should've thought that one out buddy, lol.

Yeah, I thought it out. I'm not sure you did. But since we are buddy's now, you're welcome.

So you're saying that Microsoft has missed out on so many huge gaming franchise in the last 25 years from GTA exclusivity to guitar hero and destiny it's just laughable they had so many misses

Reaper22_621d ago

Yea, but they're still 100 times more wealthy than Sony. I would say it worked out well.

Gamingsince1981621d ago

Xbox is dead all that money doesn't help.

Hypertension140621d ago

What has work out well? It sure as hell had nothing to do with Xbox.

andy85621d ago

That isn't because of Xbox though. This is a gaming page, not an I get supplemented by father Windows page

Bathyj620d ago

Microsoft's money has nothing to do with Xbox.
Xbox is a money pit to them they would love to ditch but are after some ROI first.

Let's face it, Xbox is like a red headed stepchild that steals from you to buy drugs.

Hofstaderman620d ago (Edited 620d ago )

MIicrosoft is NOT XBOX. The current situation illustrates this. And Microsoft wants its ROI.

@Bathyj and daddy Satya has just force admitted Phil to rehab.

gold_drake620d ago

you know why MS has so much money, and it aint cause of the gaming xbox branch.

so lets not kid ourselves.

PhillyDonJawn620d ago

Xbox was shown to be more profitable than ps

jznrpg620d ago

@PhillyDownJawn not more profitable. More revenue with ABK acquisition but them going multiplat shows they are not making much profit

ocelot07620d ago

That's great for Xbox gamers ain't it that Microsoft are more wealthy than Sony. Is that really a argument use are using now lol?

Imagine me in my job. Arguing with a fellow security guard at another company. Hahah well the company I work for is worth £800m the one you work for is only work £600m!

620d ago
Knightofelemia620d ago

Microsoft may have more money but Sony has the talented studios and the games to back up those studios.

Plus turning down Marvel too. Spiderman is only exclusive to Playstation because of that

Hedstrom620d ago

Best deal deal in gaming must be when Sony bought Insomniac for 229 million dollars. They made over 800 millions on Spiderman for the ps4 alone. Thats just crazy!

XBManiac620d ago

More in the 1.000 million now.

gold_drake620d ago

another Interview?

how is he the only one who loves the spotlight as much as he does lol

Futureshark620d ago

Let's not forget he also famously passed on Spider-man, Genshin Impact and GTA3.

However it's almost kind of cute how he can keep that sh1t-eating grin and say he's a 'no regrets' kind of guy, especially when you think how much just these 5 titles could have swung the world in Xbox's favour instead of Sonys.

How he's kept his job I don't know, he must sure be keeping Papa Nadella's shaft warm somehow.

"But, but Gamepass, he introduced that!!!"

Yes he did, and now look at Xbox, all it's exclusives are coming to Playstation now rendering the platform obsolete.

DarXyde620d ago

Honestly, with that kind of track record, you can't convince me Spencer hasn't eaten it from the back in the name of self preservation. Probably unwashed...and at least twice.

That aside, my interpretation of everything here is Xbox has been mismanaged a bit too much and Nadella came down from his throne. The way it is now, I don't believe for a minute the multiplatform move was Spencer's idea. I don't even think the acquisitions was Spencer's work. At this point, I reckon he's got as much power in his role as Hunter Biden at a Ukrainian energy company.

DivineHand125620d ago

You can never tell how things will turn out if he had said yes to those games. Xbox already has access to some great IPs, however, they hardly do anything with them or fail to deliver. It's also possible their presentation wasn't good at the time, and they made sure the next presentation was better.

I believe that part of being successful is releasing things in the right place at the right time.

Many major corporations have a story similar to passing on successful business ideas. Let us look at Sony Pictures for example. Back when Marvel went bankrupt, they had the opportunity to buy the entire Marvel for only $25 Million but turned them down. An unnamed big shot at Sony reportedly claimed that “nobody gives a shit about any of the other Marvel characters,”. They ended up taking Spiderman for $10 Million instead.

https://www.avclub.com/sony...

Fast forward to today, we can see what the Marvel brand has done for Disney. Is it possible the same success would have been possible had Sony acquired those IPs. We can't say that for sure and it is possible most of those IPs that are successful today may not have been used.
