New Spoiler Filled Force Unleashed Trailer

Ripten's Chad Lakkis writes:

"Not sure I completely understand the marketing angle being taken by LucasArts, but who am I to judge their uberness. This is the second trailer to reveal a few of the games plot twists - the first being right here.

The primary difference between the first video and this video, is that the first simply discusses a few of the games details, while this video is a 2 minute montage of actual in-game moments that should not be watched by anyone uninterested in seeing how the story possibly unfolds.

I say "possibly" because, as our own Jonathan Zungre reported to you from GDC via Ripten TV several months ago, LucasArts has mentioned that you will have the ability to make choices within the game that deccide the path you travel. He added that while you start the game off on the Dark Side - that may not neccissarily be where you end up.

So to recap, the trailer looks really nice, but you definity should not watch it unless you really like spoilers."

I can't wait.. just wanna see what the difference will be between the reg edition and the LE before I slap my preorder down... tho I swore never to buy another LE after Assassin's Creed pissed me off with that tiny stupid figure and rinky-dink comic.

It's like a movie trailer... do we consider those spoilers? Or do we want to go in blind? Calling this "Spoiler filled" is stretching it pretty far I think, but whatever. It only gives a taste of the story so we know it's there.

I mean they show obviously the general direction of the games storyline before you play it. So if you don't want to be surprised you probably shouldn't watch it. My curiousity got the best of me, and I watched it. Despite the fact that the trailer was awesome and made me definitely want to get the game, I'm kind of disappointed it showed as much as it did. Given they're just scenes and we don't know the context, it still seems like a lot of spoilers.

I did not see any plot spoilers it was like a movie trailer as said. What are you thinking is a spoiler?

We already know how a Star Wars story goes and the trailer confirms TFU to follow the formula. A Jedi/Sith conflicted as to be dark or light. Sith Apprentice faces his Master these things are not unexpected. You never know how the story will take shape as you play.....Unless your reading a guide while playing. Kotor had a surprising twist and im sure TFU will have its moments too.

They could just be using this trailer as a tool to set you up to believe it will follow a cut and dry story arch and then you play the game and realize its much deeper. Theres always a "Luke I am your father." type twist.

I am not a Star Wars fan but I enjoyed the Force Unleashed and the sequel. Shadows of the Empire was another Star Wars game I also enjoyed.

I had Shadows of the Empire on N64 and I used to finish that game basically weekly. LOVED that game.
