DC – "F-Zero is one of my favourite videogame series. Like both Mario and Zelda, this Nintendo masterpiece started as a 2D classic and successfully reinvented itself in 3D, transitioning well with the evolving videogame climate. But whilst the other two series include modern titles that live up to their heritage, it’s now been eleven years since the last F-Zero. Will Captain Falcon be returning any time soon? I’m hopeful, here’s why."

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
Captain Falcon will return when Miyamoto says they find something new for him. Personally, there is a crap load they could already do with him such as online multiplayer and gamepad navigation uses (gamepad could be your own little cockpit).
I know F-Zero will come back eventually and it is a shame he missed an entire generation. Knowing Miyamoto I bet it will be great. He is working on a new Star Fox because no one else will, so that gives light knowing we will eventually get a new F-Zero.
When you expect him not to return.
to be honest, i dont care if they do make a new one, i know that remakes are having a hard time in the press of late, but i would be happy if they simply remastered F-zero GX from the gamecube for release in 2016
Checking out youtube it looks fantastic even with its old assets on dolphin in 1080p
Link, Samus, Captain Falcon and Fox were the 4 characters and series that got me hooked into nintendo between the snes and gamecube days.
if they released a remaster or new f-zero alongside metroid prime U in 2016, the wii u will have given me everything i could possibly want from a console
